IGN: The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile Hands-On

People keep asking Silva if Vampire Smile is an expansion or a remake of the original, always acting mildly surprised when he tells them it's a full on sequel. Perhaps it's because people don't expect sequels from XBLA games, or perhaps it's because the original's plot didn't resonate with people the way Silva might have hoped, but some people just can't seem to understand why a second Dishwasher game exists.

Dead Samurai (the precursor to this game) remains the only XBL game I've ever purchased, and still play to this day. Looking forward to this installment

Xbox Live is on fire. The amount of great games being released on XBLA is insane.

XBLA is the one thing that makes me want a 360. So many little games that I really want to play! I hope there's another price drop this year. I may finally get me one. :D

Charlie Murder and The Dishwasher: VS Coming to Steam Soon

Ethan Lee from the flibitijibibo Patreon page writes:

"Today I’m (in)formally announcing that I’ve been working on Steam versions of Ska Studios’ Charlie Murder and The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile! The Steam versions will be available for Linux, macOS and Windows on day 1, and will include all the features of the Xbox 360 versions including online multiplayer, achievements and leaderboards. They will also be the debut titles for FNA.Steamworks, a new reimplementation of the XNA4 Xbox Live features for FNA (which all versions of the game will be using)."

Salt n Sanctuary destroys those games.

Yeah, the gameplay evolution is quite evident. Still, I loved Ska Studios' earlier work, so I'm really happy that they are releasing both CM and The Dishwasher: VS on PC.

Console Monster writes: "Today I had the opportunity to sit down with James Silva and Michelle Juett Silva, the folks behind the Dishwasher and Charlie Murder games. They took a bit of time to answer some questions about their latest title 'Salt and Sanctuary' and give some insight on the development process over at SkaStudios."
