Daily Informer writes "The original Lost Planet was Capcom's first attempt at making a Western styled third person shooter and was a game that was designed around huge, colossal boss battles. Unfortunately it was let down by tedious struggles with respawning grunts and an irritating health system, but luckily the game still sold well [far beyond Capcom's expectations] and now the publisher is ready to unleash the much improved sequel to the world. Lost Planet 2's producer Jun Takeuchi claims that "this is almost a totally different game," and that "everything has improved, in [his] opinion" and from what Daily Informer has seen of the game it's hard to argue with that statement."

The load times in retrospect are unbearable but I did have hella fun playing couch co-op with my gf on the PS3 and PS2.
