microsoft:they will announce exclusivity on project offset for 360/pc and 360 fansboys will be really excited about this, once they get see some footages of the progress of the game .far cry 2 will be announced with the cry engine and star war battlefront will be announced as exclusives. they will have a mass effect, bioshock demo. more on the new splinter cell and halo single player campaign ,and gamers will like it alot. huxley will show new game footages. warhound will show how good is looking at this stage in development.project gotham racing 4 will make gamers wish that is Christmas already . and fable 2 will show their engine capabilities. and many other surprises like "left 4 dead".

sony: wardevil will be shown as a ps3 exclusive and probably will surprised many, how good it looks. killzone 2 will have a playable demo and gamers will be happy, but not in shock after seeing call of duty 4. home will deliver.metal gear will look awesome. crysis will be announced as a timed exclusive.big little planet will look great.and some other surprises.

overall: the new john carmack engine and a new game will surprised and excite many. assassins creed will make gamers go uh, ah. unreal tournament will be a graphically great, but the gameplay will get old, "nothing like Gears of War". half life 2 orange box will be awesome and will shine on its own. resident evil 5 will show some gameplay. and the new star war, indiana jones , and grand theft auto 4 game will show some physics power. a new KOTOR game in the making. the chronicles of riddick will show the remake and some of the new content. oh ,i almost forgot call of duty 4 will be the **** at the show.

this is a great year, if not the best for gamers.

BTW, multiple websites (including this one, I believe) are reporting that E3 will be smaller this year, but also an unorganized mess. So, we may get earth-shaking announcements...assuming that Reggie, Phil and co. can even find their way to the convention. :)

All gamers will be happy with their choice of system, as all systems have decent games coming out.

Killzone 2 will silence the critics, proving what is possible with a little time and effort with the PS3.

Nintendo will shine with its choice titles, many using the wii-mote in new ways.

Microsoft will show how its getting a bigger variety of games this time round.

Should be interesting to see if Silent Hill is announced and if so which platforms? And if any of the games are to shift platform / move to multi format release?

both MS and Sony will come out Swinging. the out come is that Gamers everywhere who own either a ps3 or 360 will want the other console because of what will be shown. i'm expecting a 360 game that will make me deside ok let me plunk down 400 bucks for a not so good over priced dvd player. and i'm sure there will be a game that makes 360 owners look and say ok i wanna buy that limited ps3 which does a better job at playing blu ray than games... lol!!! in all. everyone here will have something to look forward to. me especially i wanna see most what Sony will show, and what mS will show. that Banjo 3 thing has got me iching. and if it is anything near the first 2 then i'm definately gonna buy a 360 just for Banjo 3.

I have just come in and gone straight to the bottom of the comments without reading but let me guess: Lots of PS3 fanboys gurning about the fact that Kotaku would even think about suggesting MGS 4 is coming to the 360?

Here are my predictions that I got straight from a reliable source (myself).

I heard that at E3, Sony will unveil the PS4. It uses a Redray drive with discs that can store 3 squillion GB of data.

It also packs the revolutionary SPcELL processor that beams dictionaries directly into the heads of players so that when they post on message boards about how their console is more powerful than ten Mr T's, they have the linguistic skills of an English professor rather than the mumblings of a lobotomized chimp.

Did I mention it has the Exclusives Infinity chip? This clever addition predicts what games Sony's competitors will release in two years time and releases the sequel before the original has even come out. Take that healthy competition!

Just for the record, I think the PS3 is a great machine, I just wish the fanboys would leave N4G forever and ever and ever.

1. Killzone 2 will be closer to the E305 trailer than Motorstorm was to its respective trailer (reason: Guerrilla had a lot more time to develop the game, it is an expensive game to make, and the techniques they are using for development are cutting edge; it will presumably use most of the strengths of the PS3, including Cell and RSX optimized code, Blu-ray and HDD). Still, even when it will look great, possibly on crysis levels, everyone will seek for details to bring it down in comparison to the trailer. After all, Sony set themselves up for failure for overpromising with the trailer. I hope everyone's impressed though.

2. Halo 3 will be playable, and people will come to the conclusion it is Halo 2.5. After all, if it ain't broken, why fix it?

3. New peripherals for the Wii.

Every company will naturally unveil a lot of exclusive games and services, but...

4. Sony will be the one to unveil the most exclusives, either in partnership with third parties, or first party studios, since they have the biggest first party

5. more details on relatively unknown games such as Afrika, Eight Days, White knight story and The Getaway.

By the way, VirusE... don't defend Kotaku for being so biased. It doesn't matter what Sony ever did to ANYONE... being a journalist means being objective. Sure, it's a blog and they're entitled to their bias... but if they are, the validity of what they say isn't a high as it could be, especially if they want to consider themselves journalists. Joystiq does the same, Gamespot too. It's hard to find objective press nowadays, considering press are gamers too after all, and people don't want to spend $600 on a console; which is understandable, but that has blinded most of the press. I've lost my respect for the blogs I mentioned, gamespot, and 1UP (including EGM of course). I think only IGN, Gameradar and Gamepro are some of the few objective ones left.

that this E3 would bring the announcement of MGS4 for the 360 but after a conversation I had with a friend who works at Konami here in the states it seems that probably is not happening. Granted he has no affiliation to Kojima's group but he said he has heard ZERO on this so he is thinking that it ain't happinin anytime soon. Who knows...the rumors still buzz...but I am less hopefull about this rumor coming to be.

We have been predicting for like 2 months now.

No more predictions for me, I wanna play the games that "I know" is coming out. We will see what will be delayed, as we know there will be games delayed.

I wanna see where "Lost Odyssey" is after a year, besides all the other games I won't have time and money for.

I made a "promise" to myself, I will not purchase any new games until I purchase my Samsung 40 inch 1080p LCD. I'm hoping by September, unless somebody wants to help out. I accept paypal. hehe (Halo 3 is on the way). Will be one Cozy Winter here in the North East States.

Destructoid hates on Sony because their community manager and editor (Ron Workman) is a MS employee. I think some one at MS is lining Joystiq's pockets too b/c it has become so bias it is unbelievable.

I've been reading kotaku for about a year now, and they've been sh*tting in Sony's cereal *LOOOOONG before that Home ridiculousness.

right after E3 2006, after the price of the PS3 was announced, kotaku hopped onto the bash-wagon, and you couldn't find a single positive story about Sony until TGS 06 in September (when they grungingly admited that Sony had actually made a *GAMES machine), and then at the GDC in March, when Home and Little Big Planet were revealed, despite the "drama" from them leaking the story.

not so surprising, this change in perception of Sony at kotaku occured at the same time *OTHER web publications starting to cool their attitudes for Sony.

for this hypocritical and bandwagon hopping reason alone, i don't visit kotaku anymore, and only do it if i see a story posted on here, and don't realise that it's kotaku as the source.

it's a trash site, just like Destructoid and Joystiq.

even this site has gone to the dogs because of the fanboys. you can't escape them.

if it wasn't for the fact that magazines are always a month or more late on the news, i wouldn't peruse the internet for my gaming information at all.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Is this like the 10th quarter in a row they're down 33% on hardware how is that even mathematically possible. You would think their mediocrity would Plateau
