They released Yakuza 3 in the US at the same time Final Fantasy XIII and right before God of War III was released. It's a year late getting here, it had several things cut, and it's being released after Yakuza 4 has already been announced. I've played the Yakuza 4 demo. The bizarre thing is that Yakuza 3 is actually a great game. If SEGA just doesn't give a f*** about a Western release, why don't they just include an option of English subtitles in the Eastern version? I'll gladly import it if it has English subtitles, especially a complete version. I'd buy Yakuza 4 right now if that was the case.

Sega is doing fine from where I'm standing. With great games being released like Valkaria, Bayonetta, and the upcoming Sonic 4, I'm quite pleased.

Who cares if a good game gets released on the same day as Final Fantasy XIII. Not everyone is a Final Fantasy fan, you know.

Sega does not know how to handle there products, simple as that. Sonic is
nothing but turd compared to it's 16 bit days, the Yakuza series continue to lose interest over many thanks to there overwhelming gap on release dates. Besides anything Sonic, they don't market there IPs here in the US nor do they give newly original and awesome RPGs like VC a shot at success.

Sega is just riding on Marios back hoping for someone to pay attention.

I read either in a magazine or on the forums that SEGA and Sony were in talks of having the Dreamcast library on PSN. Can anybody confirm this and possibly throw out a link? I'm curious as to whether or not this is true. Eternal Arcadia on PSN... That would ROCK!

Sega should never have made a US & EU studio. New Sonics, Sega Rally and others where made mostly in the US or EU, that's probably why most Sega games suck

i thought everybody knew sega hates money.

sega seems to rely on sonic to save them, look how many sonic collections games we have. however, sonic fans seem to hate the 3d sonic games, SA, SAB, SH ect..look at how much hype there is to sonic 4.

i also see no adds what so ever either. also people said sega has been messing up the puyo puyo stuff as well, starting with fever, and turning satan into a dr. robotnik character. although i wish they would bring that over, puyo puyo for the win!

I used to be a fan of sega back in the day , got a sega genesis , saturn( think i was the only one who had a saturn and i bought street fighter the movie game with it ) , dreamcast .....Sonic is dead and every other game they put out look like last gen shlt ....except for valkyria chronicles I give them that .

Sega need to start marketing again, and actually release games with a smaller time scale and not release them amongst other titles. i.e. Yakuza 3 right in the middle of a big gaming period, with BFBC2, FFXIII, Heavy Rain and GOWIII etc.

I was looking up screenshots of cut content from Yakuza 3 and there it was. I haven't heard any complaints about the sexy japanese man at the header of the article, but hey I guess only the immature would dwell on the immature in the article. [If you notice in the article I actually joke that I could see why that part would be cut]

I'm pretty grateful that there has been a reasonable discussion on this topic on my site and N4G. Thanks again and yes I'm still a huge Sega/Sammy fan.
