
This generation demos have become the norm instead of the exception when it comes to pre-release marketing for a game. In the past, demos were included in magazines or as pre-order bonuses. The accessibility of Xbox Live or PSN has given people better opportunities to try out games before they buy them. With that, should we be able to save progress, achievements, or bonuses from demos and have them carry over to the retail product instead of having them as separate entities?
