Xbox is a beast at streaming. I stream all my music from my PC in game while playing online with no additional lag

With Xbox's pitifully small (and expensive) HDD offerings thanks to MS, you should stream everything you can so as not to waste precious space on your xbox HDD

no, its not. xbox is not a beast at streaming. Was trying to watch a movie at my friend's the other day and there was so much lag/buffering or whatever that it was unwatchable. Having it straight on the HDD is the best way to go if you really want to watch a movie. 2nd to using an actualy disc.

I dont use my 360 as much as my ps3 but for some reason the 360 doesnt detect my portable passport hdd.

It works ok on my my book for watching videos though.

My ps3 just does more when it comes to allowing video playback.

If you're going to do something like that, at least have an ulterior motive like I do; me an my friend have challenges to get people to do things online for game money; it's not a bet, but it's like a job the way we do it: like tick-off 50 people in one day online or something like that.

there are normally always work arounds. but you dont seem to get the point agent smith is making, and also some people arnt able to do everything you can. For example:

I am a university student, and whilst living in uni accommadation I am not able to connect to a wireless network, and I only have 1 ethernet port in my bedroom. There for there is no streaming from my laptop or desktop. and about having the stuff on usb, yes its a work around. But if your like me using them for uni now and again you will find and also having to transfer movies etc I often find myself being slightly annoyed that I am having to copy them onto the memory stick, WHICH IS WHY I normally just grab all my movies / series or whatever and stick them onto my PS3 hdd.

As another person above me has pointed out its easy to seem like a fanboy on here, but you will notice if you visit the hottest threads often who the fanboys actually are. I have once been called a fanboy for stating the obvious which is amusing as i own both consoles and have for years. My PS3 died within a year of buying (yellow flashing light) and the other day my Xbox 360 just got the RRoD but strange thing is when i tried it 10mins later it was working fine again, havnt had much time to play on it though due to work!

worst $300 I ever spent. If you're a pc gamer looking into a console. You'll find that everybody you know plays together on the 360. The ps3 would be worth its value if they ever announce a twisted metal game. Until then it's a pile of junk. Though it's finally being useful with FF13.

exclusives suck? dude the ps3 comes out with such a different variety of games you cant possibly say that... and for the past couple of years ps3 games has been getting GOTY
