Arc is the future of motion control its gonna be one of the greatest moments in the world when it launches ARC FTW Only sony know how to truly innovate while M$ copy the eyetoy badly.

The main thing I want to do with the arc is (Not what you'd think from looking at it) the bow and arrow type thing they did in the stage demo. That looked seriously fun but it seemed to use two wands. I'm not sure if you'd have to buy two separate wands for that or if you'd get two in the pack but I'm just a little worried that a wired nunchuck controller to walk around and stuff would make a game in which you walked around occasionally firing a bow and arrow impossible.

this is why I won't buy into Arc. How much for each parts? If they both retail @ 40$ or more, I'll never even consider trying it.

i'm actually looking forward to the arc now. When i saw the RE5 demo with the dualshock in one hand and the arc in the other, i thought it's gonna be quite awkward; holding the ds3 in one hand. But now with this 'nunchuck' addition, this ain't looking half bad. Plus it gives me a reason to finally bye a PSEye.

Unlike Nintendo has become, Sony is more into innovation and moving forward rather then standing still and playing it safe. I have more confidence in Sony that they will know how to use the Arc better then Nintendo has used the Wii-mote. Nintendo has had the Wii-mote for years and still hasn't really done anything with it. Even the stylist for my DS just sits there forgotten. Almost no reason to use it

Natal = Eyetoy just with 3d capabilities.
Arc (Thought it was called Gem O.o) = Eyetoy+Wii just with 1 to 1 tracking.
Arc = Ownage.
Natal has uber latency issues.

I enjoy some wii games but cant stand the amount of sh*t that gets made for it hope this not what i'm going to see for ps3. And people shouting copy cats if Sony had not copy the joystick of nintendo or Sony had not done 2 joysticks and then Microsoft copy two joysticks or nintendo had copied motion controls console gaming would died. Its just the way it works copying someones idea and change them to better it just makes competion and the competion is making this generation so amazing i don't think as long as i have lived and remember gaming we gone so long in console generation and not had clear winner.

The cable connecting the wiimote to the nunchuck can be a pain. I remember playing red steel on the wii and doing that move with the 2 swords when you lift the 2 controllers above your head and pull down. The cable would keep slapping me in the back of the head every bloody time and when you've got no hair like me it can start to sting after a while.

Shoot, the nunchuck better not be optional in terms of buying. Hopefully both the arc and the nunchuck are packaged together so all games have the possibility of using both.

Thats alot of sweating from the nintendo faithful they now know they are going to be getting the SD ports of arc software lol, seriously the technology is different it all revolves around a camera and I already know the nunchuck looks nothing like that there is going to be some interesting software for this.

And hopefully this will mean decent 3rd party motion control games are not destined to total failure which is a win for wii gaming. PSN port of muramasa would sell like hotcakes!

Like this could seriously cause a blow to Nintendo wether they want to believe it or not. Developers can cause their games to go multiplatform for the Wii and PS3 with the PS3 obvoiously being the superior version and will probably be the lead console. Everyones saying Sony copied Nintendo, that's how buisness runs. You take what's out there, improve it and consumers flock to the better version. As for the pricing, the nunchuck will be no more than $20. The Arc its self somewhere between $35-40. The DS3 is already $54 so no point to be so close to each other. The only way I'd say Sony is copying is if they made a PS Mat or board XD.

this is worse than using a light-gun. and we all know how good a light gun will work with competitive FPS games. otherwise, all the hardcore games would be playing call of duty on the wii, which is POS'er.

This is superb news. I'm really excited about the possibilities with this now. This tech was wasted on the Wii; I was sorely disappointed that the Wii didn't utilise the technology in an engaging enough way, with games seriously lacking depth. Although the Wii did give us a glimpse of what was possible with the tech in games like Zelda and Mario Galaxy.

I'm sure Sony will accomplish what Nintendo failed to deliver. Imagine the possibilities with Sony and their developers at the helm.
