It's the only console which charges you, doesn't provide wireless and uses P2P and let's no all foget that Natal might not be live combatible... kinda of sucks if the figures add up.

'4th reason- Microsoft point - This is a form of currency that you can purchase at the store that comes in different amounts (800, 1600, 4000) usually atleast in the United States of America. You can allso put a credit card on your xbox live account to purchase these that then come in (1000, 2500, 5000) amounts. These points you can use to purchase stuff in the marketplace that i am about to talk about.' How is that positive? How is Microsoft making a currency to hide the true cost of a game or content a positive. PSN and Wii have a money system too.

'5th reason- Marketplace - This is pretty much a store on your xbox that you use the Microsoft points for. What you can buy in here is Map Packs (New maps for a game). You can allso actually buy games.' PS3 and Wii does this too... sheesh not a reason

'6th reason- Netflix - You can rent movies that get downloaded to your xbox instantaniously you don't have to wait for them to get shipped to you. You can allso buy movies to be put on your xbox. You will have to pay for these things with a creditcard.' PS3 has netflix oh and 1080p uncompressed audio movies BLU-RAY which quality wise is superior. In #1 you said how graphics are important then clearly blu-ray is more important than Netflix.

'7th reason- Downloads - You can download all finds of things on your xbox. You can download music, movies, pictures. All you have to do is put in the cd or use a transfer cable to hook it up to your computer and start the downloading.' You can do this easier on PS3 and best of all it has a BIGGER hard drive. Also you cannot transfer videos onto the 360 hard drive... which SUCKS... and you can do on PS3.

Here's three reasons why the PS3 is better

Hmmm...Weird article. I own every console because I don't want to miss any great games. I never want to have to say, Man! I wish I had a _______! But I mostly just play exclusives on my Xbox 360, or games like Mass Effect 2 since my MBP can't play it. I just find it weird when people limit their gaming possibilities. If you can afford all of them, why not just buy all of them? Forget all the fanboy nonsense! I'm not loyal to any company. Every console has it's strong points. I love going into Gamestop and buying PS3 and Xbox 360 games together. Most people are like, why own both systems? It's a waste of money? I just smile and say "why not?".

I think asking why I shouldn't sell my 360 would be a much more appropriate article these days. I love the way everyone talks about xbox games like they are truly innovative. Even more funnier when PR talks about how the 360 is the platform of choice for jrpgs'. The only good thing coming out of the box is supposedly the dreamcast games that are coming. And thats not even official yet. It might even come to the ps3 too so again, why should I not sell my xbox 360? Halo? No thanx. MAG will keep me plenty busy until Socom 4 comes later this fall.

but no amount of content would get me to buy it when these reasons exist:

1.paying to play online when others offer it for free and not getting dedicated servers for ALL GAMES for your money.

2.needing to buy accessories that are price gouging gamers.doesn't matter if you think you wont need it,but if microsoft want to go 10 years like sony,you WILL end up either buying a hard drive for more games,movies,etc.or BUYING a whole new system like gamers did for the elite.

the system is what it is.it has dvd,it upscales to 1080p,etc.can't knock it for that.they chose what they wanted and that's what you get.but what you get is limiting the game for not just for ps3,but the 360 itself.time and time again,we see games being cut down when they are announced for 360 that were BIGGER GAMES.

it could be sound,textures,objects onscreen,extras,etc.because the system uses dvd.and second,microsoft screws developers over by trying to limit how many discs they can use.they again,overcharge the developer for trying to get all they can in their game.you know this to be true 360 fans.microsoft would rather limit the console,than to allow you the gamer,to get a better game.that's sad really.

anyone that has reasons NOT to buy a 360 is a sony fanboy, pure and simple. any REAL video game fan will buy any console, or any game, regardless of who makes it.

This was possibly the stupidest and poorly written article I have ever seen. The guy must have being about 10 years old, and had just got his mummy to buy him a 360, and then after seeing the Gow3 reviews pooped his pants and needed to console himself with his Microsoft Points.

My fellow Sony gamers, my answer to that one is simple. First of all, we all know that only dumbtastic folks play the 360 console. We also know that playing "made-for-morons" 360 games and doing drugs also lower your down your intelligence level. What that means, my fellow Sony gamers, is that if you want to get that "high factor" and being stupid at the same time without getting arrested, then get a 360 console. Evidence of this can found in Youtube and typing in "Xbox Live, stupid" and see how supposedly "intelligent" people can get completely stupid while playing the Xbox 360 online.

Then again, since we Sony gamers are the classy, mature, and intelligent gamers of the videogame industry, we stay away from drugs or the 360!!

I see a lot of people dismiss the article because of the comments about graphics.

Here are somethings to think about:

XBox 360
1) GPU is a unified shader - Generation ahead of PS3 Geforce GPU
2) Supports MOST DX10 and DX11 features
3) Display Driver Model is a precursor to WDDM and allows OS to share and virtualize GPU and System RAM (Like Win7)

What does all of this mean technically?

1) Unified shader is easier to code for with respect to balancing quality and performance, as the GPU doesn't have to wait on the PS or VS pipelines to open up. Thus giving games that are heavy in one area more room to breath graphically. (The PS3 GPU is a Geforce 7900 with dedicated shaders so if the game is heavy on PS technology the PS is jammed while the VS is sitting idle being wasted.)

2) Texture sizes. No matter what the PS3 does, it will always have a texture size limit that is around the DX9 specifications because the Geforce 7900 can't handle unlimited texture sizes. This is something the PS3 can NEVER get past with its GPU choice. (Go look at most games with super high resolution texture surfaces on Lens of Truth, the XBox 360 can display texture detail that is simply not possible on the PS3 GPU.)

3) DX10/DX11 features - this includes the unlimited texture sizes to even DX11 features like Tensellation. (This is why DX11 and porting between the PC and the XBox 360 got easier as the PC gaming can now support features that only the XBox 360 had in the past.

4) RAM allocation is dynamic, this means that when games need RAM for computing or holding textures it can just dip from the main RAM with a hybrid GPU/System RAM virtualization technology. (Again this is what Win7 and the WDDM in Win7 uses that allows games that could choke on GPU VRAM in XP to run with higher quality textures, even on older games.)

XBox 360 GPU = DX10/DX11 generation with Unified Shader (I know the terms around DirectX 10,11 are generic, but used for hardware specifications of what the GPU is designed around.)

PS3 GPU = DX9 generation (Again DirectX is used here in a generic term, but defines what the hardware was designed to work with and shows its inherent limitations.)

So for Graphics, the PS3 will NEVER be able to pull the texture quality of the XBox 360, so getting close to surfaces and really HIGH resolution surfaces will always be lower quality on the PS3, sadly.

However, does this mean much to most people, probably not, but it is factually accurate.

I play multi-platform on my 360 and PS3 exclusives on my PS3. I can enjoy chatting with my friends and family on my 360. Something I cannot do on my PS3 as they either don't have a PS3 or no mic.

So far I have a large list of games I want for my 360 this year and 1 for my PS3, that being Heavy Rain and no I couldn't give a crap about GOW3 and GT5, neither are my cup of tea.

does have better graphics for a bunch of the multiplayer games, but that's not based on the hardware, that's based on people not optimizing the game for the Ps3..

Plus, Ps3 exclusives knock the competition out of the park for graphics...

Also, I hate the points system. At least PSN has dollar amounts.

XBL really does win out over PSN for me though. Like, if I had to pay for PSN, i wouldn't even bother. But, XBL, I don't mind paying for .. especially coming back from the PS3's interface and lack of awesome features.. Like Party Chat, what a flippin godsend.

I didn't have to read the article, everyone one of you pretty much gave me the rundown on the whole thing. And pretty much from what I see, it is flame bait alright; really badly written flame bait. I am a proud owner of a 360 for a few years now and still haven't had any of the problems that a lot of people have (RROD or that other error thing (you know, the video one). Would I write an article about it? Not really. I say, just buy and play the console that has the software that interests you.

This isn't anything but some random tech website that has nothing to do any gaming that has listed reasons to get a 360.

It's also obvious what kind of "fanboys" approved this so they could talk sh*t about the other console., because this is obviously very far from news. Good work N4G PS3 fanboys. I might expect the 360 fanboys to do something like this, but not you.
