These are 3 games I couldn't imagine playing more than once.

Games I like to play more than once are those that have just plain fun, addictive gameplay, and don't rely on a lot of action to be entartaining. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is a perfect example of this, I enjoy the core shooting gameplay so much that I've played it over 35 times and can still enjoy playing it again.

I think there is just an influx of me to and just alot of trash through out the year. I also think there are just to many games being released by certain developers they know who they are instead of focusing on a few great titles a year they are all about quantity. To be honest i don't like $60.00 for a game either as a lifelong gamer since atari 2600 i can see where your going with replay shoot i remember playing Asteroids till i flipped the score over those were the days.

i remember being able to play though campaign modes ten times for each game i bought now when i beat a game i don't even feel like touching it anymore.

but in reality I've only payed the full 60 bucks for just 4 of my 40 games. I usually buy games used or when they are 25 bucks or less given the fact that there are so many good games out right now you can buy for cheap it's crazy. And I usually buy when gamestop does their buy 2 get 1 free sale too.
I mean unless you really need to buy something when it comes out there is no reason for me to not get fable 2/mirror's edge and brutal legend right now all 3 for less than 60 bucks rather than come home with 1 game in my hand I might not even enjoy like MW2.

I have to disagree on that, but 2 yearrs ago i might have felt the same. This year and last year was great for me, and there are still some developers out there that make sure that the games they make are worth your every cent. I guess it depends on your own perspective if a game is worthy of your time. Im excited of the games releasing this year.

The industry just isn't the same anymore for me. There are too few developers that actually set out to put a quality game to market, without caring about the risk of success or failure. What happened to the days when gamers, like me, didn't google Metacritic to see if it was a worthwhile purchase? Since when did gaming become this weight scale that every game gets stacked up against?

In those days, games were actually worth what you paid for. The single-player mode was actually had some meat to it, and it had to because they didn't have DLC back then to get lazy and release a half finished game with a "super huge multiplayah!!"

There are just too few games that are actually built on fun. LittleBigPlanet seems to be the latest in this dying breed of fun titles, and even that game has a over abundance of DLC. Maybe I'm just rambling as an old gamer(that is quite young, lol), but as a gamer who has seen the rise of 3D and the fall of the console cartridge, The game has changed...and I fear what this may ultimately result in.

Made me realize why I love video games, again.

It's like taking the spirit of a SNES game and giving it new life.

This guy is a dope. Replay value? He's crying over games not having replay value and it's making him hate gaming? I have too many great games stacked up to play. I don't need that much replay value if the game is good.

Also, maybe he should try a rental service. If he thinks games dont have replay value just rent instead of buying.

maybe he needs to switch up on other gaming consoles / PC for a bit? i change up to other ones when i'm frustrated on one system for a while,it really helps.

Buying crappy games to boost a score ?

I stopped there , here is a pretty good reason to be burned out by games .

The author just figured out renting is the way to go? I play alot of games and if they suck or are short, back in the mail they go. I don't shed a tear because I didn't pay $60.00 for them. I paid 1 week (or 1 day) of rental and if they are good, 2 or 3 weeks. If the replay value is there, I'll buy it outright at a reduced rate.

If you are out there buying every $60.00 game day one, well you know the saying: "A fool and his money will soon be parted"

And don't believe the hype. That's what hype is there to do. You just have to be rational about it.

its been a long time since i just played a game over and over again.
the most recent game is mega man 10. its quite fun, but inorder to fully injoy it, you gotta get DLC for bass and new levels and what not.

i'm not too big of a fan when it comes to DLC. things that should be in the game are not, like RE5 multiplayer is a good example. some things seem too high priced like costumes for games and what not. there are a few devs who make DLC for free. i don't like spending $50-$60 on a game that is going to last 5-6 hours, $10 per hour.

also some devs make too crap too, like Ubi with their imagine series. i think ubisoft has more imagine games, than "hardcore" games this gen
