The thing is that its not true, God of war 3, Heavy rain, Uncharted 2, GT5 and the last guardian all look better than alan wake has been shown to look before, and that "no screen tearing" excuse was complete bs unless theyve fixed it very recently. The direct feed vids we were shown had about a 50% screen tear of all frames :( Im just hoping that the story delivers since im definitely not expecting a KZ2 graphically, looks like a good experience so far, albeit very reminiscent of alone in the dark.

Now its just being excited for the game, which is fine. But folks are pretending its some sort of technological jesus? How? Having a flashlight in the dark? Non Uncharted like animation or facial expressions? What bar is Alan Wake setting to where even squinting your eyes, you can claim its superior to MGS4/killzone2/uncharted1& 2 etc.

I'm not blind. The most amazing games this gen have been Crysis/Gears/Uncharted/Killzon e2 etc. But where is Alan Wake showing its muscle that isn't dwarfed by Uncharted2 alone.

KZ2 was in development for 5 years. GT5 is STILL in development and it's going on 6 years. Alan Wake loses 6 months of development and the PC version was cancelled which is also a waste of development time.

Yet you want to point out the developing time on Alan Wake...Wow, funny you how ignore the development time on the some of those mentioned PS3 exclusive games...

I find it funny how you are trying so hard to down play Alan Wake. Seems to me that you have a particular agenda. What has KZ2 brought that is outside of the common? What has Uncharted 2 brought outside the common? Graphics...is that it, just graphics. KZ2 = COD another FPS game, Uncharted = Tomb Raider another action game.

You ask about a Flashlight....maybe the flashlight is a tool to help create an atmosphere? Light plays a huge part of the game and story. So don't downplay Alan Wake, if you do, then you may as well be down playing KZ2, Resistance, Uncharted and many other PS3 exclusive games.

How does the way a game is developed help in "rasing the bar" to the user? It doesn't.

Uncharted 2 does NOT have stellar online. Online was thrown together to give more to the game's re-playability. There is nothing in uncharted 2's online that "rasies" the bar for anything. KZ2 also doesn't bring anything new online. Great so each game can have multiple gametypes all added into 1 session. That is NOT raising the bar. Online is still surpasses by COD4 and MW2.
