
The problem with puzzle games is that they must continue to innovate and inspire, releasing many sequels of the same franchise can sometimes hurt more than anything. If we look at how many releases of Tetris and Columns there has been and none of the sequels are ever a patch on the original. This is mainly due to the inherent nature of a puzzle; once it's solved it lacks any "need" to return.
