Why are the screenshots so small? whats the point of showing screenshots when you can barely see anything. /le sigh

I played the demo at bestbuy today.

Well you have to have a PlayStation if you're a fan of baseball. What a great exclusive to have my fellow gents.

No.

MLB 2K10 is very good. I wasn't a big fan of the past few MLB 2K games, but this newest one is great.

I really like The Show, but it feels very sterile, and as a result, I find that it tends to get rather dull after a while.

Oh, and before any of the retarded fanboy crap gets started, just save it.
I didn't insult anybody's mother, so there is no need to get all full of nerd rage and tell me why I am wrong for liking the new MLB 2K10 game. lol

Contrary to your assertion that 2k10 is the better game, I must disagree. First let me state...I have not stock in Sony or Take Two. I appreciate the need for freshness in a sports experience. I actually LIKE the pitcher and batter interface of the 2k series (which was refined this year). However, baseball is a game that requires other elements besides batting and pitching. This is where 2K fails and MLB 10 shines. The fielding aspect of 2k is STILL broken. Stiff animations cause some dumb plays. The cutoff man will be arbitrary about whether he wants to be in the right spot or not. Double plays can be nullified by stupidity of the programming and NOT by player's stats. That creates a frustrating experience for the player. Once again, I respect your opinion...but I have to wholeheartedly disagree.

iceman06, I respect your opinion as well, and I wasn't trying to imply that 2K10 was a better game than The Show, just that for me it is a more exciting experience.

I actually own a copy of MLB 09: The Show, and while I think the series is awesome from a technical standpoint, it all feels somewhat stiff and lifeless to me. I still like it a lot, it's just missing that "fun" factor that the 2K series has.

If I were an uber baseball sim fan, I would proably be turned off by 2K's "issues", but I am not, and I find the game to be a lot of fun.

2K sports needs to go back to the drawing board; MLB: The Show gets better every year. The graphics are phenomenal for a sports simulator!

I bought last year's version and i tempted to buy it today but I need all the cash I can with FF13 and GOW3 coming out.

I just keep playing last year version for now as I think it is still getting updated roster on a regular basis.

But for those that have the spare cash or don't have last year version, it is one of the best sports series ever.

TheLastLevel5932d ago

You americans are lucky. I wish they did something like FIFA (x) The Show.

Primetimebt5932d ago

MLB The Show is the best sports game ever had.. I wish the NFL would booted EA sports contract and let Sony get on the action..

My First MLB The Show game: http://www.youtube.com/watc...

This is a must buy every year. All self respecting baseball gamers must own a ps3 or they are not getting the best baseball Sim. And the graphics...shouldn't this be mentioned with heavy rain, ffxiii and gow3?

Video game allows disable athlete to play in the Majors

ESPN: Hans Smith pitched his way through an up-and-down rookie year for the Cardinals last season. Don't recognize the name? That's because Smith is a virtual athlete who spent an entire season playing as himself in "MLB 10: The Show."

2010 Sports Game Of The Year Awards - Game Informer

In a subgenre governed by eight-month development cycles and yearly releases, there isn’t a lot of changeover from year to year. Not 2010. With high-profile cancellations like NBA Elite, bold new challengers like Backbreaker, and the return of classic franchises like NBA Jam (awesome reboot) and Tecmo Bowl (less awesome), this year sports games almost generated as much news and controversy as the moribund 2010 Minnesota Vikings. While not every title rose to the occasion and many kept running in place, several titles elevated their game with long-requested new features, jaw-dropping graphics, and even web integration.

MLB 10: The Show - PS3 Review by Brash Games

Ah the scent of fresh cut grass, the crack of the bat, and the roar of the fans. It must be baseball season! Or maybe it’s December… The truth is, if you’re playing MLB 10 the Show, you won’t even know the difference. The latest installment from SCE Studios in San Diego is truly that enthralling.

It seems we hear the same argument every year: the annual release of sports games is simply a way for those greedy developers to steal more money from diehard fans that simply want the new season’s rosters and are forced to pay full retail for it.
