Play Heavy Rain On Your PC

Sony's Scandinavian outlet has posted a series of "interactive" clips on the video site, which allow you to "play" certain sections of the game. You won't be able to perform the more incidental actions, but when it comes to making the big decisions, clicking on the clip will take you to a new clip showing what happens next. Just like the real thing.

Oh so I dont need a PS3 to play Heavy Rain.

Guess I can call it a multiplat now.

GreenRingOfLife5800d ago

I guess this game won't sell consoles then

since you can play it on youtube

Oh look, a troll commenting on his own posts from his multiple accounts.

Nothing to see her people.

I was going to buy this for my Ps3 since they're haven't been any good games for it since 08 but since it's playable on youtube I'll just save my 60 euro for when Alan Wake is released.

Tony P5800d ago

Wow. That's pretty cool.

I don't want to say it's close because it isn't really, but it feels like you can still get a decent if streamlined experience with it. Whether Sony puts the kibosh on it I guess will shed light on how close they think it is.

"no good games since 08, ill wait till alan wake" sure wait till may for it.

God of war 3 already makes 360 irrelevant.

xabmol5800d ago

UC1, MGS4, and KZ2 already did that. x]

But hey, XBLA is still pretty sweet! *wants Splosion Man, PB Winterbottom, & The Maw*

xabmol5800d ago

Not nearly the same experience though. I can't really choose which way to go, fiddle with random things, or purposely fail a seen.

I was never quick enough to hit the burglar myself, so it was neat to see what happened, "Punk!" xD

Please stop comparing video games to movies

"Many video games catch not only great commercial attention but remarkable critical attention as well. We have seen games like Heavy Rain, The Last of Us Part II, and even entries in the Metal Gear series described as fantastic interactive experiences, even heralded in the same way as Hollywood's greatest films.

I would suggest that not only is this an unfair comparison but also a harmful one. Video games, by their very nature, are an intricately different medium and should be weighed against one another rather than another form of media," Phillip writes for GF365.

Yes, please stop. They're better than most hollywood drivel nowadays.

BLAKHOODe1888d ago

I think Hollywood films will becoming increasingly more like video games in the future, especially as the world embraces the "new normal" from the pandemic. It makes sense, as games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales showcase just how realistically we're reaching in graphical capabilities, as well as showcase extreme action sequences in spectacular ways. And as time goes by, it'll get easier and cheaper to produce such "art", as well as create new star "actors" that never age, never die, never complain, never gets involved in scandals, etc. Technology is amazing and we're only just getting a taste of what it'll eventually be.

sourOG1888d ago

No. Some games are like movies.

medman1888d ago (Edited 1888d ago )

No. For the money spent, a quality game provides far more entertainment value than a quality movie. Especially when looking at what is going on in the world, and how a studio can attempt to pilfer from consumers by charging 30 dollars for Mulan via streaming. Ridiculous. There is no comparison....games all day.
