Aliens: Colonial Marines resurfaces

Having missed its 2009 release date, Sega's Aliens: Colonial Marines has been TBC on the publisher's release schedule for some time now – but Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford has once again began hyping the upcoming licensed title.

"We have an Aliens game with Sega and 20th Century Fox which we're really excited about," he told MCV. "It's the thing I've been stealing from all my career. Now I'm really working on it, but we've been quiet about that so far."

Sweet. I got friends whom are going to be soooo happy.

They might wanna hold the happiness - Gearbox had a good idea with Brothers in Arms 1 but since then haven't managed to advance the concept and the last release was poor.

There is a good game in the Aliens films somewhere, but I don't think Gearbox are the guys to find it.

Gearbox also made Borderlands, so what's your point? Most developers don't have a perfect record. Even Blizzard and Bungie made comparably-worse games before they worked on the franchises that everyone knows them for today.

I truly cannot wait for this game, its what i have been wanting out of an Aliens genre for a long time. Please make it great game play, great graphics, and well worth

....and knew Rebellion would continue dropping turds, giving A:CM some more time. Gearbox will give gamers the first TRUE Aliens single player experience....can't wait.

...to be fair, AVP has always been more about fan service then a experience (though it is to a little extent)

Roundtable: Games That Should Have Received a Sequel

Too many games aren't given a second shot. We at VGU choose which games we would love to see receive a sequel.

The Saboteur - criminally underrated and a fantastic mechanic of bringing colour back to Nazi-occupied Paris.

The article lists Bulletstorm, Sleeping Dogs, and Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Can't argue with any of those really, but I would add Resident Evil Operation Racoon City and Metal Gear Survive to that list. Both terrible games from good franchises.

Bulletstorm, I actually liked the gameplay but the atrocious writing and characters made me despise the game by the end of it.

I still play AvP on PS3 to this day. That game had fun multiplayer too.
