If it's not a PS3 exclusive, it's not that great of an announcement. DVD limitations will only hold back the scale of what it could have been if it were on Blu Ray only.

Imagine if Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, or God of War 3 were limited. They wouldn't be anywhere near as good. Hell, I doubt Uncharted 2 ever would have gotten coop or online multi. Who knows.

I highly doubt GTA V would be a PS3 exclusive. Even if it will be, the game wouldn't end up being any different anyway. You guys need to stop telling yourself that.

If you believe they 'gimp' the 360 version of games it's obvious you guys have no idea what you're talking about. These companies may claim they have to take things out of the game so it can fit on the 360 discs, but really they're just trying to get more money out of people by releasing the content as DLC, or they're keeping it to release with the next game.

Sure, the 360 may be limited since it doesn't have Blu-Ray, but that doesn't mean they couldn't just put it on multiple DVD's. Disc swapping certainly isn't as bad as you guys make it out to be.

Seriously, Why should it be PS3 exclusive?

1. PC got Treated the Same way
2. R* is fair to all gamers, as long as they don't lose anything, so it'll probably be on PC as well.
3. Disks? Digital Distribution, PC Gamers can download the biggest games directly to their HDDs no problem (Seriously, a TB isn't too expensive any more)

whatever V is, i just hope it goes hard mafia or vice city status with a bad ass character, not some *&^% illiterate gang member. i'm sick of that stereotype being glorified or implemented as main characters in games, they have no depth, and personally i can't relate, nor would i want to. give me fido from gtaIII or at least a god damn character creation option this time around. and for god sake i hope they make the story MORE mature and serious, lets get rid of the stupid jokes within the storyline and leave that for the radio station's and billboards. more choices would be nice (executions in IV) but actually have them effect your path and ending. lets also get a much LARGER weapon selection this time around, it should come standard with every weapon included in IV and the expansions. AND BRING BACK THE PILL AND SLOW MOTION GOD DAMNIT, I WAS SO LET DOWN WHEN IV DIDN'T HAVE IT WHEN ALL THE OTHERS INCLUDING THE PSP ONES DID!!!!

Including the whole state of Florida with other towns and citiesa and various landscapes like forests, swamps, open country etc. Maybe throw in some animals like alligators!

Main character should either be a Mafia guy or Hispanic drug cartel soldier.

Make the gameplay more varied and in-depth. Include all the best features from previous titles missing from GTA 4. More weapons, more customization options for cars and clothes. Access to all public buildings and ability to use all forms of public transport for quick travel. Add the option to buy and own businesses and build your own crime organization/gang.

GTA 5 will be a multiplat you can BANK on it and I will not pay $60 bucks for it. I'm gonna get it as cheap as possible unless for some miracle it's a PC exclusive then I would pay $70 for a PC exclusive GTA 5 that was like 60GB and was Massive and fun like San Andreas (planes helicopters skateboards skydiving) but I don't get excited for 360 games gimped and ported to other systems.

All that is confirmed of this game is that it WILL be set in Vice City (look at the EFLC manual). No word of the era in which it will be or anything else.

I'm pretty sure that this will once again be released on both 360 and PS3 simultaneously.

You can count out any exclusivity for the 5th. I enjoyed the 4th a lot, but would like to see something different besides the same game over and over again, GTA MMO? Possibly, can't imagine Rockstar is just going to let APB take that crown.

GTA4 went on multiplatform because back then, developpers didn't have the PS3 devs kits and it was much easier to develop on 360 then PS3. Not anymore, the PS3 can dish out much more power then the 360. The wise decision would be to put it as a PS3 exclusive to get the best out of it, just like Nomura is doing with Final Fantasy Versus 13 (that one will remain a PS3 exclusive).

I can't wait to play Red Dead Redemption, and GTA V sounds cool, but what I'm really looking forward to is L.A. Noire! That game is going to kick ass, and I like the sound of the detective angle that it's going to have.

Make for the PS3 50GB Blu Ray first then for 360 a year later like San Andreas for PS2 then to xbox 1.

Also if the 360 port don't go well give them lots of disks (change disk on each island) cause they say they don't mind changing disks so they say. :)

Its far cheaper and easier to make a game for one console. You save money buddys. You can make a far better game wich if they keep makeing crap GTa4 quality games people will stop buying them and they will no longer be relevant. They will become has beens and thats far worse then anything else. You do not want to end up like tomb raider, RE5, Tekken, etc. Why do you think they are creating new ips like LA noir, and agent? If you dont keep bring awesome/new stuff to the table it can spell the end of your future. Square enix would be done for if FFvs 13 wasnt being made or exclusive. No companys want to end up like those regular multiplat titles like darksiders. If GTA5 is a pc and Ps3 multiplat then I will be happy. the gta4 engine is being used for RED DEAD and modified to be used for max payne as well most likely. I just want the best game possible because im a gamer.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
