I don't think it'll be worth getting a 360 for considering that Ubisoft already confirmed that all future Splinter Cell games will be on PS3/360. I'd buy a 360 for L4D2 if M$ dropped the price 100 bucks and included wi-fi.

It will be released on PC but it's a console game. There really wasn't a focus of specific content or features for the PC version. Which is sad after seeing the Battlefield Bad Company 2 PC trailer.

I was already super siked about this game but now I'm SUPER Excited!!! This game looks like a season of 24 in action.

But it's gonna be a 360 buy for me....just like all other games. Consoles only! Playing games on the PC seems too nerdy for me....no offense to all you PC gamers! That's just how I feel as a casual gamer.

I'd be surprised if this game doesn't get announced for the PS3 six months after it's release.

I find it funny and tiring that everyone without a PS3 on this site acts as if no one owns a PC. Or if they do... its obviously not good enough to play current day games.

That being said - Pretty sure this game is a TPS. Which should be played with a controller... That with the fact the coop and multiplayer will obviously be better on the 360, I would have to say buy it for the 360 if you can.

Now looking at the full game library of the 360, there are far more games that would in fact make it worth buying a 360 if you like the games included.

Why would a timed exclusive be the game to make you purchase a console for $300? Yeah, disagree all you want but you all know Splinter Cell will be on the PS3 6-12months from it's launch on the 360.

To be fair, BECAUSE its on a four year console, you hardly need a monster Pc to run it at least as well. This goes for pretty much every port these days. It mystifies me when people think you need a water cooled, two thousand pound beast to make a console port playable.

For example bioshock 2 will easily run with everything turned on including directX 10 Pc features (neither console can do these) with a low end dual core e.g an E5300, X2 245 (these are 45 pound, sub 80 dollar central processors) and something like a radeon 4670 (also about 50 pounds worth of GPU, 80 dollars) with a resolution and framerate massively over and above what PS3 and 360 scrape. 1680 x 1050 without breaking sweat (thats nearly twice what the consoles render at). A 4670 for example has over 500 million transistors, 60 percent more than 360's GPU and much faster as a result.

I dont anticipate this game being any different for people that would look to play it on PC.

The 360 version is going to have the Ghost Recon Future Soldier beta. That alone is a big plus for me and a definite buy.

There are lots of games on 360 and ps3 worth getting the system(s) for. To isolate it down to a single game is pointless and limiting.

I mean, multiplat has its convenience. You just buy one system and not worry because all games will be available. It also has its inconvenience. Such as sloppy ports or no real defining differences that set them apart. Seems we are nitpicking the slightest little texture difference or shadow when we should just enjoy the games.

I kind of miss the old days when there would be multiple teams working on the same game. One for each platform it was coming to. That was there was dedicated work for the specific systems. They tried their best to match but given the technical differences (ex: snes/gen) they would do little subtleties to make each one stand out from the other.

They just dont seem to do that anymore and it is only obvious as to why. Money! We have gotten spoiled this gen and are much more demanding about the quality of our games on their respected platforms. So much to the point of the devs cutting stuff out to accommodate the neutrality they are striving for. Trying to please everyone only leads to pleasing no one.

While I wish exclusive games would jump ship, I also understand that being exclusive means showcasing the best work a dev can display from a single platform. It is just easier to purchase the console you dont have and buy the games than it is to wait for what may never come.

Truth is this is a Ubisoft game and will probably make it's way to the PS3 at some point for those who don't mind waiting (NG2, GTA Episodes, Braid, Fallout DLC, Bioshock, Lost Planet, Overlord, RAINBOW 6 VEGAS(Another prior clancy exclusive), I could go on but I think I made my point) because it's too much money to just miss out on.

However as far as buying a 360 or spending 300$ to upgrade your PC to a gaming rig.... I take #2.... Do what you like though... Bring on the hate 360 fans. Just try not to be in too much denial. i'm just making a guess because history repeats itself...

The problem with the PC version is that it will use this ridiculous DRM that Ubisoft are now imposing on their games where you must remain online to play the game. It's enough to make you want to download a pirated copy.

Darth. Despite what anyone thinks I do have a good PC(Feel free to add me on steam). I don't need a 360. I owned one and had so much trouble with it I refuse to buy anything that poorly designed ever again. Also there really is no exclusive I want on the 360 I can't get on PC. Not a halo fan... So yeah I wont buy one again or support MS's gaming division.

Look at the specs of a base 360, now look at the specs of your general HP computer. I mean we are at dual cores/quad core/6gb ram. & toss a 256mb videocard in, and you're running the Unreal Engine(The only pinnacle the 360 has to show for itself), in Directx11.. at beyond Wuxga resolution with ease...

Its 2010 guys.. the 360's hardware is 5 years old. the Unreal Engine's specs on the 360 are 5 years old. put 2 & 2 together..

Heres a better question, why do you think you need a $4000 dollar Crysis rig to run the Unreal Engine w/o DX11? And when you say "buh buh" points pretty much done.

Think about how a PC running Half Life 2/Doom3/STALKER on Max (when it was new) Was out, and the specs for that machine. It still wasn't that demanding for the time. And that same game runs in less resolution on the 360 in 2005.Its just specs. Computer technology has moved on. Even though the demanding games haven't moved hand in hand with it.. its still progressing

Many games work for a 4 year old PC. If you had a 4 year old gaming rig I am sure it is still better than the 360.

Get a bluetooth dongle they're only about $20 and then you don't need to use the cable. That is, if the cable is a problem for you. I needed one because I have a bluetooth headset that I use for mic, I personally would rather use the mouse and keyboard.

You can use the Xbox360 pad for most PC games. Splinter Cell will also support it.
You can also use Logi-Tech rumble pad that is practicly identical to the PS3 controller. You can also use a PS3 controller for the PC

Crackdown 2 seems odd too. The first was good but wasn't even close competition for the goty back in 2007

Some games i agree have potential to contend for goty, but do find your padding to make the list longer comical, especially risen. unless they are making some major improvements for the us release then the game is more flop of the year than goty tbh and i'm stunned u stuck it on ur list
