These situations are all too familiar to MANY gamers. I'm lucky enough to have a girlfriend who games for the same reasons I do...because it is entertainment just like movies, music, and television.

Yeah my girlfriend plays games... But she refuses to play with me cause i can't stop myself from telling her what to do. Have you ever tried to bite your tongue when someone is searching every nook and cranny and you already know there is nothing there?

My missus is into the kiddy game which makes it kind of annoying.

My helps pay off my game that I got preorder or buys me games, then again I buy her games to and I got her a pink DSI that she has been wanting for along time.

Its good to have a gf that you have something in common with, if not.....well lets hope she doesn't break anything of yours.

I feel lucky. My girlfriend loves games. Even better is that she has the same favorites list that I have. She owns me in battlefield though. But I guess its deserving, shes a good medic.

my wife was a gamer before we met, and she's still a gamer now.

she's more into the RPGs, like Mass Effect, Final Fantasy (in particular FF6)Dragon Age, WoW, White Knight Chronicles, etc, but i've got her, on occasion, to play Resistance 1 and 2 and Borderlands with me.

she's currently watching me play Heavy Rain, but it's "too intense" according to her, so she doesn't watch it all the time. lol.

it's great to have a lady in your life that understands your passion for games, even if she doesn't partake herself.

of course, the problem we have now is splitting game time between us. lol. i'm trying to get her her own PS3 and HDTV, but it may take a bit. maybe i'll do it for one of her anniversary gifts. lol

My gf is similar in that she's pretty much only into RPGs (mainly JRPGs though). Since we got together late last year, I just don't have the drive or the time to really play anything though. I'm definitely getting Heavy Rain soon and FF13 is paid off, but currently, I can't even remember the last game I purchased. Still gotta pick up Uncharted 2, Ratchet and Clank, Demon's Souls, Tekken, Dragon Age, Mass Effect 2....
