See?! This is how it should be done!

darkmurder5850d ago

Yep although if you're using a controller as a PC gamer for an FPS you really should try and adjust its just nowhere near the same accuracy.

Raf1k15850d ago

While I love my 360 controller for PC there's no way I'd use it for FPS. It's best suited to action adventure and racing games.

JsonHenry5850d ago

I know there are some people who like using a gamepad but I still to this day would NEVER choose to use a gamepad over KB+M. However I am glad that the devs put this in the game for all 3 people that are going to use it.

I hate controller for FPS games but I still like to have option so I can play at my work on my laptop with controller :)

Good. After BioShock 2 I was beginning to wonder whether people were going to keep doing this.

Maticus5850d ago

Can't understand why people would prefer controllers over a god old mouse & k/b. Much more versatile.

creamydingle5850d ago

Because its much easier to kick back on a couch and play my pc games in front of my 52" tv with a controller then having a mouse and keyboard on a couch.

DiffusionE5850d ago

Then why not just play on a console? It sounds so much easier. Just pop the disc in and play seems a lot better than all the PC install/config hassle, if you're gonna play on your couch with a 52" TV and a controller anyway.

The essence of PC gaming is not just the superior graphical power, but also the KB/M combo in FPS/RTS games. Just my two cents...

Foxgod5850d ago

Maybe he doesnt have a console.

Or maybe he does have one, like me, but he wants the best gfx that can be offered and use a gamepad.

The pc blows the consoles out of the water, the drawing distance cant be compared, pc also supports newer rendering technique's.

vickers5005850d ago

Plus, using a controller provides more of a challenge. Pointing and clicking seems to easy and boring. Not to mention controllers have (actually good) force feedback and can be held in one hand so it's less of an annoyance.

creamydingle5850d ago

At 3.2 I have a ps3 and a gaming pc, I use the ps3 the most but games like mass effect crysis which are not on ps3 i use the pc. The pc i have hooked up to my tv and a second monitor at my desk for web browsing etc but the tv is for comfort and gaming. I find it a lot easier going into a big gaming session relaxing on the couch with a 52" tv then hunched at a desk with a 22" monitor but thats just what I like each to there own. Btw crysis running on my 1080p bravia running at 1920 x 1080 all settings on high using a controller with my surround sound system kicking back on my couch just awesome and I highly recommend xpadders if the game doesn't support controller input works awesome.

K/b and mouse is best for PC games.

There are some which feels right with a controller but also feels right on a console!

No need to mix!

dirthurts5850d ago

That's more of an opinion to be honest.
Some games I would rather play on my game pad on my tv, others I'll stick with kb&m on my monitor.

Jacobite5850d ago

Think it should be down to choice myself. I prefer K&M for fps, Joypads for Racing & platform games, wish console's would give you the choice aswell (apart from UT3 on the PS3)theres none. Xbox refuses K&M for games why? dont understand the difference ,you pay should be your choice. Tried that joyfrag for the old xbox that was so/so at best.

PC gaming is indeed dying as it seems

DiffusionE5850d ago

Maybe. But then, I also remebered you saying, "Alan Wake is only on 360 because PC hardware cannot handle it's huge open environments and open-ended gameplay."(which you later 'edited', BTW) So, now I just consider you a hilariously sad 360 troll.

Letros5850d ago

1995, 2000, and 2006 all want their joke back, PC gaming isn't going anywhere, I suggest you go to college and get yourself what we call "jobs", so you can be "gamer" and have all the systems.

Jacobite5850d ago

5 - Pad controls are far more immesive indeed
PC gaming is indeed dying as it seems ! Wouldnt say dying a lull maybe thats only because the gaming giants can screw more cash out of console gamers paying for map packs ,skins and poor addons. Got to laugh most console gamers get riped off and they cant see it or dont care, madness.

Metro Video Game Series: A Comprehensive History

The Metro video game series started with a humble b-list title, before building a strong fanbase and becoming a pioneer in the industry.

TheBrainZ752d ago

Never got into Exodus, but 2033 was excellent.

kevco33752d ago

Yeah, Exodus just didn't grab me either, sadly.

I absolutely loved 2033 and Last Light, however. Played them both on 360 and then again with the remasters!

anast752d ago

I just started it and it is already miles better than the first 2 which are dated.
