Yes, I was hoping for another Xenogears/saga game.

Yeah, shame. But the story sounds interesting on it's own to me at least.

We don't know exactly that it has nothing to do with Xenogears/saga.

Xenosaga technically had nothing to do with Xenogears, but it was Takahashi reimagining Xenogears Perfect Works Episode 1 (Xenogears was actually episode 5 of Perfect Works). Xenosaga 1/2 were supposed to be the only ones resembling Perfect Works ep.1, but since Namco screwed it up all three ended up just finishing off episode 1.

Now Xenoblade could be like what Xenosaga was, except for Perfect Works episode 2 this time. The theme and the setting all match up with episode 2, so I'm willing to bet this will feel very much like a Xeno game, while not officially being related (due to legal reasons).

Either way I can't wait. Its already obvious from this article that there will be heavy religous undertones, which is what Xeno is famous for.

Unfortunately it won't be on the PS3. Nintendo bought out majority of Monolith Soft (80%) and now they are a first party Nintendo developer. I will be buying a Wii because of this game.

If Monolith and Takahashi aren't making the game, then it might as well not even be Xenogears. And since Nintendo owns Monolith, that isn't going to happen. Unless Square gives up the rights to Xenogears, which also isn't going to happen.

Ugh I can't believe Takahashi got screwed over twice trying to finish his Xenogears Perfect Works storyline.
