This is noticeably more common on the Xbox Live service. Why is that? We have come to the conclusion that there are two reasons why Xbox Live users are bigger %@#$!'s than PSN users.

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

Why did Sony push Shuhei Yoshida out of his role leading PlayStation's first-party games? He'd overseen some huge successes. Well, apparently, he didn't listen.
Yeah I can see that for sure. Shuhei Yoshida should have been in charge not Jim Ryan.
More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.
Makes you wonder if MS even thought about hiring him after Phil and Sarah were leaving. He certainly couldn't make their situation any worse.
All the gamer/consumer lead heads are gone across PS and Xbox. shuhei gone phil's gone (questionable) but gone. The future of gaming is somewhat uncertain across the board.
Did we even need tests?
PSN has the illusion of being more mature because nobody has a headset.
yet another waste of space
The only reason it seems so bad on Live is because there are a lot more players with a mic. What's sad though is that from my experience, almost every single player I have played a game with on PSN that used a mic was a total moron. It's always either music in the background, constant background noise or other people talking, a 10 year old singing, or someone just being a typical douchebag.
If I were to go by what I've came across, I would say it's about 1 idiot out of every 3 people with a mic for Live, and 1 idiot out of every 2 for PSN. Take note that I do play MW2 on PS3 a lot, and also the BC2 demo, so that has something to do with it. I'm sure those games would be a heck of a lot worse on Live, since there are more players with mics there.
One thing that needs to be done is both consoles need a reporting system that actually works. The way reports are handled in RuneScape is the best I have ever seen and used. You just go to report, type their name, then select the category you're looking for, hit send, and bam, there you go. A report will be filed against them and staff members that are dedicated to just checking over those reports will have a look at it.
Now it wouldn't work exactly the same for a game like this because of the use of mics, but a similar system would still work wonders. People who get these reports against them could get a black-mark on their account, and it would stay with their account for good, or a set amount of time. After so many black marks they'll either be muted temporarily/permanently, or banned temporarily/permanently, depending on how many black marks they have total, and what the reports against them were about.
I really, really hope that when they next consoles come out they'll have a real and easy, yet effective, way to report players. It's something that is needed big time.
