Gamervision says, "Video games aren't just mindless entertainment. There are plenty of things we can learn from them, if we only heed their lessons. Recently, EA brought to life a centuries-old poem about one man's journey through Hell with Dante's Inferno. Though the game made some missteps, it also served to teach many lessons to a new generation, which is probably how Dante Alighieri would have wanted it. Here are a few life (and death) lessons to take away from Dante's Inferno.
Babies are Pains in the Ass.
As if the constant screaming, crying, and pooping weren't enough, the legions of unbaptized babies Dante finds in Limbo are demonically irritating. Don't let their innocent appearances fool you; they'd like nothing more than to gang up on you and tear you to shreds. A wise woman once stated that "Hell is for children", but I think she actually meant "Hell is for annoying little Limbo babies"."

There's still time for the Visceral Games cult classic action-adventure game Dante's Inferno to return to the limelight 15 years later.
Absolutely loved this game. Don't know why it went under the radar with so many people.
I think it was a couple of factors,
1. Everyone was anxiously waiting for God of War 3 to release(myself included), so we could see what the Santa Monica Studio were going to accomplish with the mighty PS3.
2. It was such a direct ripoff of the GoW formula right down to the button prompts, (such as clicking L3 & R3 to activate your ultimate) .
Now, of course lots of games borrow and evolve ideas, but this was like a carbon copy with a different skin and not quite as good or pretty.
3. It was cool to look at, it played fine, good artistic design and everything, but our standards were astronomically high after GoW 1 & 2… and it just wasn’t anything to write home about.
That being said, I have been wanting to revisit it for years.
I think with a few live service features EA could revive the IP and turn it into a million dollar franchise.

There are good video game protagonists, and there are bad video game protagonists.
I disagree that max is unlikable. Chloe is infinitely more unlikable in my opinion.
Most of these aren't even that bad. Especially comparing to others like Squall "Whatever" Leonhart, Forspoken's Frey, and the guy from Atomic Heart.
i had to stop reading after the "blatant misogyny" in the Dantes inferno section.
i actually liked Max haha.
the forspoken chick is missing tho

Grab your katana, and slice your way through this list featuring the best hack and slash games the PlayStation 3 had to offer.
Dante's inferno... an excellent GoW inspired game. So sad the sequels will never be.
heavenly sword was such a short, but amazing game. that game should be prime material to be made into a download only remaster.
I really enjoyed Castlevania, but struggled to get into it again reattempting it a few years back. I still think it does another of things well; story, presentation, level varietily and art style at least. Gameplay maybe has not stood test of time unfortunately which makes it a chore to get through.
there are too maany items to collect!!
judas coins
relics
damned
beatrice stones
AND
virgil commentaries (this is the easiest, but you can easily miss one)
too many scavenger hunts, imo.
I learned that the developers lack originality.
