I'm guessing it's that sword fighting game they showed at E3, that definitely had a MediEvil feel to it.

Commander TK5992d ago

it will use the power of the Trey, then I'm in.

TOO PAWNED5992d ago

Gaff

What are you talking about?

-Alpha5992d ago

Hm, interesting theory.

What else has Cambridge done?

I want LiverPool Studios to do something, those guys are awesome.

gaffyh5992d ago

@Too pawned- You know the demo where the guy is hitting the skeletons/armor with the sword.

LeonSKennedy4Life5992d ago

Lol.

I saw what you did there!

Trey = Arc

Treyarc

Nice one. : )

heroicjanitor5992d ago

He said the trey because that's what some guy on youtube calls the ps3, and apparently he has a big following in "the trey brotherhood"

Aquarius5992d ago

Medievil was such a fun game back in the day. ( from what I can remember )

sikbeta5992d ago

Too bad Medieval 3 may never see the light of day. I actually think they should consider porting Medieval 2 to the PSP (in the same vein of the first with different level design or whatever they changed) and then maybe consider the third on the PSP.

Its cheaper to develop on the PSP so it may be something to consider even though a full blown PS3 version would be sweet.

That said: I expect this to be a motion controller game, so who knows.. maybe something similar to Medieval? That could work out.

MajesticBeast5992d ago

Can anyone tell me what cambridge has done in the past besides medieval i could never get into that game. Great news more ips is always good.

gaffyh5992d ago

Most recent full game was LittleBigPlanet PSP, but they helped on a lot of games according to wikipedia.

cambridge studios was one of the best developer of the past generation on ps2.can't wait.

@gaffyh
yes, recently they helped guerrilla games for killzone 2 on ps3.

Julie5992d ago

I remember Primal , for me one of the best looking PS2 games and it was also fun :)

Figboy5992d ago

those were two excellent games.

i'd LOVE to see what PS3 version of both series could be like (can you imagine the level of detail in those worlds, and animations?).

it's a shame that those two titles were so criminally underrated.

the character of Lazarus Jones (voice by the same dude that voice Raphael in the 80's Ninja Turtle cartoon. lol) has a very affable, Nathan Drake quality to him (even his smartass sense of humor). he had potential to really be a good new addition to Sony's stable of characters.

Ghosthunter always reminded me of a darker "The Real Ghostbusters."

and Primal was such an excellent concept, with really amazing visuals and cool game design. the main character, Jen, was a great female lead with character and humor.

*sigh* the gaming industry is NOT fair when two completely promising series get cut down. kind of like what happened to Folklore and Heavenly Sword this gen.

but hey, we get yearly incarnations of Call of Duty!! yay!!! /sarcasm

Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.

They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

solideagle77d ago

they should know that we are OG fans of VIII as it sold truckload as well. not as much as VII or X. I personally didn't like IX but X and VI are my personal fav.

Shadow Hearts 2 covenant is another game I love. I hope one day someone can make remake, I would be delighted

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

DarXyde84d ago

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

Soy85d ago

And then MK1 killed it again.

DivineHand12584d ago (Edited 84d ago )

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
