Didn't see this one coming at all from the 360 selection of games to the PS3.

Al Bundy5881d ago

I don't want that horrible game on my PS3. They can keep it.

presto7175881d ago

Or am I missing something? Not sure if I should be too excited about this...

BeaArthur5881d ago

Al Bundy...you are 100% correct. Only played the demo but that was enough. The PS3 is probably better off without having this game in its library.

StanLee5881d ago (Edited 5881d ago )

Why bother?! You're never going to make enough on the game to even cover the cost of porting the title. No one bought it on PC, no one bought it on the XBox 360 and no one is going to buy it on the PS3. It's a multiplayer shooter with no community. What would be the point?!

@ Chubear

You're a bit of a douche and a fanboy so I'll overlook your ridiculous comment and try to explain. The game is a online multiplayer that sold poorly on both the XBox 360 and PC. There is no community. You'll find more people playing Rainbox Six Vegas than you would find playing this game on the XBox 360. DLC being released is irrelevant.

Chubear5881d ago (Edited 5881d ago )

A lot of 360 gamers have been enjoying this game. So much so that they brought out DLC for the game and the DLC is selling well to on LIVE. SO dont' start now calling it crap when support has certainly been shown for it on the 360.

One more current gen exclusive 360 title that's now not really exclusive.... are the 360 fanbase actually going to catch on to this pattern? I'm guessing not this gen.

beans5881d ago

I was so hyped for this game 4 years ago. Played the demo which was pretty good but didn't like the visuals. Whats funny is they were hyping it up and saying only possible on 360. This is just one of those games that should have been multiplat all along.

talltony5881d ago

I tried the demo on 360 and couldn't believe how crappy it was. It's just so mediocre.

The Maxx5881d ago

Come on man...what if we throw in some DLC along with it...would you then PLEASE take this game off our hands...LOL

I played it, and finished it in like 2 hours. It's mainly an Online game and it's horrid. It was a good idea, but the game is just sub par on all aspects. Not to mention the online community for this game is as barren as the Gobi dessert in the summer time.

Megaton5881d ago

They should put it over in the "not worth porting" pile with The Last Remnant.

ChozenWoan5881d ago (Edited 5881d ago )

Was interested in it when it was first announced, but now we have Warhawk, Soccom, MGSO, KZ2, MW1, MW2, UC2, R1, R2, Lost Planet2, Bioshock 2, R6V, and the daddy of them all MAG. MAG has paratroopers so the HALO drops don't have that same "something new" appeal. Yea, so they've got the whole SSSA (Space Solder in Shiny Armor) thing going for them but that would have been a major selling point only if it would have come out as a PS3 exclusive... and if that was last year.

They tried to out Halo Halo on the Halo console and that didn't work so now they hope some of us PS3 gamers will bite the bait. lol... well they are a little too late to the party.

Ohh, and Why are all the MS exclusives this gen going to Sony while only the Sony exclusives from last gen are going to MS... hmmmmm!?!

vhero5881d ago

http://www.joystiq.com/2010...

Check it PS3 are getting an improved version too. Another exclusive bites the dust even if it's a terrible one. Surprised a shooter couldn't sell well enough on the 360 though it had to come to PS3... If shooters can't sell well enough on 360 they in trouble it's there main market..

morganfell5880d ago

Wait, you didn't sell enough on other platforms and now you want to come crawling to Sony? No thanks.

Odd that it's a download as well, like Fatal Inertia

Godmars2905881d ago

Saves them the cost of printing on BR. If its DL-only.

Given that its already reviewed poorly, that no one's going to buy it regardless, probably the best thing they can do, since they're doing it anyway.

vhero5881d ago

Probably something to do with exclusivity deal.

NYC_Gamer5881d ago (Edited 5881d ago )

Who really cares?they should have kept this game canned...

sinncross5881d ago

yeah maybe they should have but its being offered as a PSN title... at least it will be available for those interested nevertheless.

Godmars2905881d ago

Bet you that as an online multiplayer title it has minimal to poor online performance.

BeaArthur5881d ago

Played the demo, it was crap.

Bnet3435881d ago

It's a crap game. It's like Bad Company in the future, except it sucks.

BeaArthur5881d ago

That's an insult to BC, it's like if Quake was made by someone with Down Syndrome.

TimeGate loses appeal: Court orders Section 8 developer to pay $7.3M in damages

Venturebeat.com: Publishers and developers are like soap-opera characters. One day they’re working together, then the next they’re plotting how to take each other down.
That’s how developer TimeGate, which produced the Xbox Live Arcade first-person shooter Section 8, ended up owing publisher SouthPeak Interactive $7.3 million in damages, as originally reported by Polygon. This comes after the latest court appeal in the long-running case went in favor of SouthPeak.

Awww, this is horrible. This is going to destroy them. Southpeak, this is not cool. You could of just told them to pay your lawyer fees and then just let them be. I know what company I will be boycotting in the future.

Thirty3Three4722d ago (Edited 4722d ago )

"I" will be boycotting in the future?

It's not a boycott if it's only one person.

No offense, but I think people on the gaming scene just use words they don't know :O

No idea why I'm getting (at the moment of this edit, only one...) disagrees...

It's true.

kreate4722d ago

Hey I just googled for the official meaning of boycott including dictionary. Com, Wikipedia amongst others, but it doesnt state anywhere that there needs to be a headcount requirement.

From my reading, it seems like one or a party can boycott whatever they want.

Idk but if there's anything else to it, plz enlighten us.

Soldierone4722d ago

Both sides are idiots here. TimeGate isn't innocent, they are the ones that originally opened the lawsuit. Their publisher just said "yeah? Well take this" and won.

Honestly I'm normally on the developers side, but it was stupid to do that and greedy. Just say "we are done" and walk away, find someone else to publish. If they want the crappy Section 8 license, let them have it.

hano4721d ago

Whenever someone says both sides are wrong, it means they don't have the balls to be fair or they just don't know the facts.

Soldierone4721d ago

To be fair to what? The developer was stupid for opening the lawsuit, and the publisher is stupid for taking it too far.

I would say it takes a lot more balls to say both sides are morons instead of picking a side.

hano4721d ago

The law is always on the side of the guys with more money.

In this case, the publisher paid more so now the developers have to give up the franchise and go bankrupt. Justice isn't served.

WUTCHUGUNNADO4721d ago

This is why dueling should still be legal.
