Capcom's Dark Void is your typical run and gun third-person shooter, for the most part. The aerial combat addition is amusing, but the novelty wears off. Graphics are good and the story is decent enough. Some game play quirks and total lack of an online component keep this average game from being a great game. In short, Dark Void is wasted potential.

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

The name "Hewson" carries a special weight for anyone who grew up during the golden age of British computing. To celebrate Tomb Raider: Legend's 20th anniversary, the official channels have shared an early in-development gameplay demo.
Story on this one looks good, but the gameplay has failed to impress. Too bad.
same feeling here.
I was really hoping this would pick up some good scores and go on to sell enough for them to make a sequel. The whole Dark Void multi-verticality gameplay concept is too good to go to waste on one game.
The vertical cover was a great combat addition. In fact, I think it was the best aspect of the game. It seems that Capcom is committed to this game, with the DSi downloadable prequel.
I wouldn't be surprised if the game did just good enough to warrant a sequel, but I haven't really seen any sales numbers.
Great review!
