Dialouge that makes sense written by native English speakers? Sign me up. Playing a story as I want to play it instead of how a set character plays it was just great. And despite all the crazy bugs of Fallout 3 it's still one of my fav games this, or maybe any generation.

He's a noob for liking the original fallout games more? Have you even played them? They are 2D top-down isometric RPG's. What does that have to do with MW2?

Back on topic: I also felt that was F3 was lacking when compared to the older games. Hopefully Fallout: New Vegas can bring back the feel of the old games, after all I read somewhere it's being developed by some of the same people that developed fallout 2 (black isle studios).

I'm still waiting for another Fallout 2 =(

I am so excited. I am thinking of all the little things that will be in this game. Like Area 51! Makes me really want to get out there and explore the game. I really really really hope that this keeps in the same style as Fallout 3. They can change it up a bit, but the FPSRPG Epic open world is what sold me, and I hope they only improve it. Maybe even a little borderlands-isk co-op play would be nice as well. But unlike b-lands, I hope this has the 1000s of missions like fallout 3 had.

I'm hoping for something more story driven.

I like my open world RPGs, but they are often not amongst the greatest of story tellers. I don't expect Bethesda to do this since that's not their style. Obsidian however (and Black Isle) are known for it so I hope that's the way it goes.

Almost all games have the online logo now if they are compantible with ANYTHING online. Achievements count.

When it says "Live", it's usually just achievements and most-likely access to DLC in-game. Crysis for example, is GFW but not "live" so it didn't offer achievements yet you could play online.

GFW is a sticker on the box that says it works with windows, that's it, MS does it for free.

i don't mind em for announcment or teaser trailers as long as they're not a massive exhaduration over how the game will look e.g. i don't really like that vanquish teaser for the fact it uses real actors and cgi like in a film basically setting expectations way way too high

here's a reason why CG trailers are a good thing.

They are usually done by a separate team or outsourced, this means the main devs can carry on and focus efforts on the game itself.

Pretty awesome. What was that robot doing? Also, on the horizon, that's Vegas? It looks bright and untouched by the ravages of nuclear devastation. Should be an interesting tale. I'm looking forward to playing the slots, hitting jackpot, and being buried in bottle caps lol

That was all LucasArts fault. They made Obsidian rush the game out to meet the games deadline. Obsidian are made up of the devs who made the original fallout game. I was always glad to see them get another chance at the game since the original Fallout 3 that they were working on before got canned was using the Vegas setting.

I guess we will never know how much better KotOR2 would have been if they had been able to release in February as opposed to LucasArts forcing them to release in December. I guess I am just bitter(they do want to make an honest to God KotOR 3 afterall), I will give this one a shot though. Funny how Obsidian are the go to guys to make a sequel.

KotOR2 is definitely one of those games that doesn't get a fair shake. Imo it was shaping up to match or even surpass the first.

I think they did an excellent job of giving the game greater depth in almost every area. The story especially. Wish they had been allowed to finish.

i'm digging the new fallout logo... ohh, and of course the video too but, like it's been stated, it's all CGI so, i didn't get that excited over it... but, i do like the new logo...

i kinda wished they would of released a few screenshots for the time being... now i guess we'll have to wait until next month when they reveal more and others get a chance to see a preview build... but, a couple of teaser screens would of went a loooooong way right now...

finally some news on this game. it may just be a trailer but a fall 2010 release date sounds great to me :p

fallout 3 is the only game i've played in the series (cue fallout fanboys wanting to beat me :p) but i loved that game so will be great to play a current gen fallout game developed by the original vision behind fallout :D

This game *should* surpass Fallout 3 in every way.

You should definitely check out the first two Fallout games if you've got some time and don't mind the severely outdated graphics. Those games are roleplaying bliss!

Isnt this trailer an exact copy of that trailer for fallout 3 where the camera zooms out of a destroyed bus and a old radio playing some old music?

Is this a game or more of a dlc for fallout 3? Judging by the trailer it is the latter.

But I´m looking forward to a new fallout game, fallout 3 were a good game even though it were the most bug ridden game I´ve ever played.

It's a separate game, not a DLC. And the Fallout 3 trailer/intro was a copy of the formula of the Fallout 1 and 2 intros, so New Vegas just follows the same tradition.

I never played oblivion or really ever was big into rpgs.

Then I picked up fallout 3 and everything changed. I freaking loved that game. I loved it so much that I could not wait to hear about the sequel.

Now that I know it is not being developed by the same company that brought me into the franchise, I am very worried. I know the previous fallouts were developed by someone else, but come one bethesda, you should have known that your fallout 3 was a hit.

It just seems to me like someone is telling me the next gears of war won't be developed by epic, or that killzone 3 won't be done by gurellia.

I'm not saying it won't be a good game, and I will def keep my eye open for new information coming in, but just hearing that news really disappoints me.

Actually, Bethesda making Fallout 3 was like "the next gears of war not being be developed by epic" or "killzone 3 not being done by gurellia", since they are not the people who created the series. On the other hand, Fallout: New Vegas is being made by some of the people who created Fallout 1 and 2.

I put in over 300 hrs in the 360 version with all achievements and right now I'm working my way through the PS3 GOTY version in hopes of doing the same but with trophies.
I only got into the Fallout universe when 3 came out. From what I understand didn't most of the early fallout lore started around California anyways?
I hope that Obsidian keeps the VATS system but puts a few tweaks into it like being able to have "Nut" shots. Also include more of "Annoying Guy" NPC's.
Having watched the trailer, and I do agree it is reminiscent of the Fallout 3 trailers. But CG footage was pretty indicative of what the game looked like. And having watched the trailer and seen what little of "New Vegas" there was to see it looked like it wasn't such a wasteland.
One last thing that was mentioned earlier about DLC releases. I own both a 360 and PS3 and want to purchase this for the PS3 and the only reason is that I'm on my 5th repaired console(RROD). I'm not saying which is better I'm just at my breaking point with the 360.
I bought all the DLC day one and I'd be willing to do that again. I just want the DLC to be released day one for both consoles. I want to pre-order the game now but until I know more about the DLC availability I more than likely will have to pre-order the 360 version till I hear more on the game which I'm sure we will around E3.
