
In one of the more unexpected Xbox 360 announcements out of Japan, the latest issue of Famitsu is home to first details on The Idol Master, an Xbox 360 adaptation of the 2005 arcade game of the same name. The game will be published in Japan through Bandai Namco Games.
The arcade title off which the 360 version is based places you in the role of a new music producer at 765 Productions. You select a girl from a set of candidates, and attempt to make her into an idol over a period of a few weeks, working, via mini games, on such areas as vocals and dancing. Fail to reach your intended audience numbers, and you're stripped of your producer role.
