If bioware wasnt in the hands of EA then i would say no, but its EA and its all about the money, my thoery is that in 6 months time the PS3 will get both Mass effect 1 and 2 in a double package for £59.

PS3 hardly needs the game to survive. But i think Microsoft will eventually regret giving up some of its developers that were previously tightly reined. The three Bs. Bioware and Bizarre, and maybe in the end Bungie too. Time will tell.

ME will in all likelihood end up on PS3 - EA, Bioware, MS have all said there is no exclusivity contract. So nothing is stopping EA from publishing all 3 on 360, then porting a collection to PS3.

From the way you guys are going on about it, I think it's probably worth the wait, too.

It will probabyl get a port a year after the entire trilogy gets released on 360. Sony years late to the party like usual this gen. PS3 is definitely the original xbox of this gen.

I figured this would happen as soon as EA bought Bioware. EA doesn't really do exclusive's. The real question is whether it will be ME2 only or whether they will release ME1 so that everyone will understand everything going on in ME2.

it comes to PS3 no one will care; And no one will buy it, they should not even waste their time porting it. PS3 fans either "picked it up for their PC" or claim the game is "American trash." Not likely to get many sales from such a crowd.

Sony said there is no more 3rd party exclusivity, maybe because, they know something we don't know.

Anyway, we saw some xbox 360 exclusivities have been only time exclusive. PS3 gamers can hope to get ME on their console. EA or Bioware are not saying : "ME is not coming on PS3". So till they're not denying, the rumour will have a long life.

The makes sense for EA on two fronts, the longer mass effect stays in the news the more free advertising its getting for it. This way if they never make they can say they never planned to and if they do make it they are the good guys. This is nothing but win win for EA.

I would only say pro-PC and PS3 owners would have a PC gaming rig that can handle this game but i know alot of people who would rather buy a 360 or PS3 for there gaming needs...

they either be idiots not to release it or MS has really paid them off well...the game is really good, the PS3 user base is large and sales would be great...

Mass Effect 2 on Ps3 would be great but why release the sequal to a game on a console that did not even see the first one. Microsoft won't loose this game they will fight to keep it and keep it on the 360. The only way I see it appearing on the PS3 is if it is a timmed exclusive for the 360 or if sales flop on the 360 wich i can't see either people have been waiting for this game. There were rumors about EA bringing Left 4 Dead to PS3 and so far thats not happening either I would buy Mass Effect 2 for the PS3 but I don't see it being ported over.

There would be no point in this coming to PS3, It would have piss poor sales and run poorly as the UT3 engine just does not work on the unprogrammable PS3.

Also take into account that Ps3 fans only like games with young boys that look like girls, FACT.

It's only a matter of time before they announce it.

EA is just trying to keep the bots happy for a little while longer, since they have nothing else to play.

I think what might be happening as well is maybe EA is trying to put the first Mass Effect on to the Blu Ray along with the 2nd one, if they do bundle it like that it might cost 60 might cost more who knows, but in the end if it does come to PS3 they will need to find away to get PS3 owners into the story line just like how Mass Effect 1 continues into Part 2 with no problems.

when I can choose I always buy games for my PS3, especially if the 360 version comes on more than one disc, I didn't buy this one because I was sure it was coming to PS3, now it's been confirmed

I had my doubts at first, but it seems to be true. Such a great franchise... You guys are going to love it. Honestly, the only reason I should keep my 360 is for the first party exclusives.

Not 100% sure if or when, but I would love to see Mass Effect 2 on the ps3...sooner the better! I know PS3 fans will have to wait, but How long is too long? There a ton of games coming out this year, and Mass Effect 2 might not get as much run as the company might think. Heavy Rain, GOW3, Final Fantasy 13, White Knight Chronicles, Yakuza 3, and GT5, will crush Bioware's hopes of Mass Effect 2 making a ton of money on the PS3. I kills me to say this, but Mass Effect 2 may be better served coming to the PS3 in late 2010 or early 2011.

Why cant a few PS3 owners want this multi platform game (it's on PC to...). It is no more strange that you want God Of War 3, Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain etc... on your xbox 360 or on PC. By the way what does the X in Xbox stand for anyway?

the first Mass effect never nade it to the ps3 and doubt the second one and third.
If it does makes it way to the ps3 you ps3 panty boys won't buy the damn game It will be like the Bioshock with feeble sales.

heavy rain a flop i have seen reviews for heavy rain and the lowest review heavy rain got was an 8. Everything i have seen from heavy rain was 9s so stop trolling on heavy rain it has nothing to do with this article.
