They are just gonna loose more money. It is much bigger market and with much, much more competition market. There is no way Microsoft can buy themselves into this.

i cant imagine buying a TV with "microsoft" logo on it. Microsoft has experienced too many problems with their products inc. xbox 360.

no nix not everyone is just having fun!! theres a few in here that REALLY hates MS because there disrupting the natural flow of SONY an the PS3.you might be one whos not taking this seriously but theres some that are!!

Its true what you say WurWag some (and I stress the word some) of the community on N4G really give PS3 owners a bad name. I am a 360 owner and I love it, streaming music and video from my PC, playing some Viva Pinata or Gears and enjoying all the live stuff is great.

But as soon as the PS3 comes down in price and has more games I will be making sure I add one to my living room set up too. It too has some great features and will have some great games before long, I'm sure.

Can't say I am much of a fan of Sony PR to be honest though, a bit bullish to say the least (like their die hard fans).

Exploading Laptops(WMD saddam would be proud of)
Horrendously made PS2s that kept on breaking to the point sony got sued.(Repalcements, That's how they reached 100m sold)
Dead pixels on PSP. And so forth.
Bug and DRM ridden sony connect software
Virus root kits in every sony music album.

Remember the Xbox 1 was built like a tank with great realiability, u could of dropped it on the floor and it would have still worked.

Yeah MS built the 360 like sh!t even though mine is working fine but there're not exactly a hardware company are they.

The Xbox-360 is the nextgen market leader so how is that a ridiculous move. I agree with the guy who said that some of the Sony fanboys are just upset because MS have unsettled the Sony flow; just like Sony did to Sega ans Nintendo...oh how things have changed. I am glad MS entered the game market.

So who cares what big companies venture into, it can be successful or it can be a flop, hey you never know until you try. MS hasn't even made TV's and fanboys already have chosen a BRAND..hehe(thats too funny) I'm sure MS has lots of plans we probably do not know about since they are industry leaders in a major part of home/business computing. Hey there was a lot of jokes with Sony batteries as well, it's a good thing they recalled them out of most laptops. Hey I haven't seen one perfect company, so I guess we all can have a good laugh. Anyhow is this really the way forward for Microsoft? And if not, why do people keep thinking they know how to run MS better than MS does...?

As much as I get excited for technology, well any that is promising. I get the sense, people still don't see the ADVANTAGES of COMPETITION. I welcome any new Hardware maker, if it's going to make a competitive product, that will lower prices between the competitors out there. I must be the only one.

After all while I dabble here and there with linux, I still do not see a real competitor to windows for years to come. Which would be nice, it would make MS get on the ball with some things I hate. Then again, thats just me. Too many loyal fanboys out there.

If they were to team up with SAMSUNG Sony would get RAPED. But for now this is just a rumor.

On a more serious note, I do not see this happening any time soon. It may have more to do with the news touch tech they are about to put out then you TV in your home.

I commented on this when talking about hd dvd and blu ray not mattering for too long as digital distribution mainstream is alot closer than what people think, and tvs with built in wi fi to access purchased content was one of my predictions. Now look at this. Sometimes I can be scary accurate.
