Mass Effect 2 – Top 5 Planets to Mine

GamerZines: The universe is a cold, dark and unforgiving place. So it's no wonder that when you're finally given free reign to explore it can be a little overwhelming. Well, it would be if a friendly and giving website didn't tell you which planets to visit first.

The following five planets are the first gamers should visit when they need some valuable platinum, element zero, palladium or irridium for those lovely upgrades, armour and weapons.

Yep. Definitely the top 5 planets, or at least the top 4.

Anyone else have too much Iridium? I have like 100,000+ of Iridium, and it is by far the easiest to find resource.

Hardest thing to find is Element Zero, so I'll definitely check out number 1 on this list.

I never mined all the planets. In fact, I probably didn't mine about 25 of them because I had too much resources already.

My problem with the game is finding money to buy all the upgrades. The 75k credit biotic armor upgrades and the such just ended up being too expensive and I finished the game with about 50k credits. And I finished all side quests, DLC, and made sure to grab all the money I could as I was on a mission.

Luckily, my second run through with the same character starts me off with 200k credits and 50k in each resource as well as no need to buy armor or weapons, only upgrades.

As far as Element Zero, you really don't need much of it compared to the others unless you plan on respeccing your points are switching to a new loyalty power often. I ended the game with more than 30k Element Zero.

I'm pretty sure those are the best planets for mining.

why the h@ll is it in the hotzone? nobodies cares about the planets hahahha.

valor all the way!!

Hiruu5975d ago

I've got a crazy amount of minerals, but I've only got 229K credits in the bank (I just spent 95K)...the game need to have a commodity exchange to make it more valuable to mine planets. A nice thread with no trolls...wow...is this N4G?

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing42d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9242d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit42d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing42d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9241d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
