Microsoft In 2010: What To Expect

Microsoft is off to a great start this year coming off the high sales of Modern Warfare 2 on the platform combined with the amazing sales of the first week of Mass Effect 2. The question is can Microsoft keep this momentum going through the coming months, Final Fantasy XIII looks superior on the PS3 due to the fact that the Xbox version is multiple discs. You got heavy competition in March from God Of War 3, Quantum Theory, continuing Heavy Rain and MAG sales. What could Microsoft have up their sleeves?

Note: None of this is confirmed and should be taken as rumors unless otherwise stated. Also it's in no particular order.

Mass effect 2 and FF13 are also coming to the PC and FF13 also to the PS3.

I don't see any true 360 exclusive that Microsoft will benefit?
I think the PC version (Mass effect 2) out sold the 360 version.

It will not benefit Microsoft if you ask me.

You think the pc version of ME2 out sold the 360 version?? dude either your delusional or your in fantasy land. Of course the 360 version out sold pc version i mean has any pc version multiplat game ever out its 360 counter part?? Anyway MS is on a roll and sonys line up is looking pretty weak in comparison.

Saaking5953d ago (Edited 5953d ago )

MS lineup is bigger and better than last year, but you can't seriously compare it to Sony's. Sony still has more, and imo, better games. GOWIII alone is better than anything else. Add in TLG, AGENT, GT5, Heavy Rain, WKC NA release, a superior version of FFXIII (like Bayonetta on the 360 according to you guys' logic), Modnation Racers, Yakuza 3 (FINALLY!), and more. The 360 just doesn't compare.

MS started good with multiplat ME2, but there's no more exclusives till SCC in April (correct me if I'm wrong). Sony has around 4 or 5 true exclusives from here to April and then more.

Why he is talking bollox about the pc version Mass Effect 2 outselling the 360 version, Your also incorrect.

"Of course the 360 version out sold pc version i mean has any pc version multiplat game ever out its 360 counter part??"

Half Life 2 says Hi

I would also give a good case for Left 4 Dead 2.

To be honest Most Valve games seem to sell just as-well on the PC. Not surprising considering how popular steam is nowa days.

Solidus187-SCMilk5953d ago (Edited 5953d ago )

got both and a pc so I dont care.

This year I have more interest in 360 games but thats mostly because Ive been waiting for ME2 for a while and we dont know much about the end of the year.

edit hey guy above me, Hl2 sold more on PC because it is a PC franchise taht came out on PC 3 years before the 360 version.

ME franchise actually started on 360.

WHY so many ps3 fanboys in here.

Saaking5953d ago

Are they gonna pay millions of dollars for another timed exclusive? No thanks.

"You got heavy competition in March from God Of War 3, Quantum Theory, continuing Heavy Rain and MAG sales"

Quantum Theroy? lol
MAG? LOOOOOL, medicore shooter like Haze and resistance with no players online.
Heavy Rain? Boring gameplay with robotic movements.

The only competition is God of War 3.. which you can rent for 2 USD.

A Late Look: Alan Wake

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "All in all, it’s not hard to see why Alan Wake has received a bit of a cult following (there’s that famous foreshadowing again). It’s a title that blends themes and gameplay, while pushing the limits of storytelling by putting stories within stories and letting you read those stories before you get to that part in… the story. It has flaws, to be sure - the gameplay side can’t quite keep up with the rest of its ambitions - but overall it’s a great game that stands out among its peers and is undeniably… one for the books."

Bro missing companions: Legion, Grunt, Samara/Morinth, Javik, EDI

anast526d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine526d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast526d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman526d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast526d ago

Liam lol I can't stand that dude.
