Let's say a bit less than 2 years from now, that would probably mean fall 2011.

Looks like the 360 still got some good AAA years ahead of it :)

Probably gonna make the haters cry.

Christopher6005d ago (Edited 6005d ago )

As if there was a question that any console doesn't have a future with AAA titles? And what haters? Honestly, why would people hate that there are good console exclusives on every console out there? Oh no, I's gots good gaming options on all my gaming platforms! Whatever shall I do?!?!?

Having just finished the game, I'm kind of hoping they take all the time they need to make the story worth it. I also hope they fix some of the UI bugs and glitches for the PC version as well as hopefully make it a bit more fun to play through the game multiple times. Seems like the sequel just isn't as fun to play through again as the first one was. It's weird, but the very limited weapons and armor items just makes you realize you really aren't going to gain anything new at all and in fact you have to buy all the same upgrades you already got the first time through again.

@ cold 2000

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Fall 2011 would be fine by me. But I'm not going to get my hopes up and be disappointed if it ends up being 2012.

@cgoodno

Maybe you're not a hater, but let's be honest, there are a ton of them out there that desperately want to believe the 360 will soon go away. The idea is ridiculous, but that is what they want to believe. I personally think the 360 has some of its best years ahead of it. That goes for the other two consoles as well.

*sigh*

ME2 is a great game and stands as one of the best games ever created. But cut the fanboy crap about "haters gonna cry."

On Topic:
I'd rather wait for ME3 in 2012. It's obvious the more time they have, the more polished they can make it.

Myst6006d ago

Really? If so that would be interesting and nice, if they could confirm it would slap a pre-order down right now and start paying it off.

Charmers6005d ago

Hm I get the feeling this won't be good news for PC gamers. If they are wanting to hurry Mass Effect 3 out then something is going to give and that something will be the PC version. So I am not optimistic about a simultaneous launch for the PC version of Mass Effect 3.

Nihilism6005d ago

Awesome news, I doubt bioware would put out a rushed product, I have every confidence that it will be amazing whenever it arrives.

I would rather see ME3 than Dragon Age 2. The pacing of ME2 is amazing and i'm yet to get bored, I did get bored in DA though.

gamer20106005d ago

I agree. Dragon Age was good, but not nearly as polished and entertaining as Mass Effect 2. I, too, am looking forward to the next Mass Effect far more than the next Dragon Age.

Christopher6004d ago (Edited 6004d ago )

I'm on the fence. The pacing in ME2 is good... if you don't have to waste time mining for resources to do all the upgrades you really should do before the suicide mission.

DA:O is a much longer game and there are some highs and lows, but the story is handled much better and there are some truly effective and enjoyable RPG elements that are just missing from ME2.

I think ME2 appeals to people who are more into an action game with some RPG and DA:O is for people who are more into an RPG with some action. I just happen to fit into the latter group.

I believe it, they certainly have the foundation set.

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast577d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman577d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

He was one of my least favorite characters. I wish they would have done the Proths different.
