Strange xbox360 version didn't need patching. Then again ps3 always require patches so nothing new i guess.

I got that garbage on day 1 and all I could think was damn its 2007 allover again. maybe now I can pause the damn game and don't have to wait up to 15 seconds for it to load. Thank Sony keep on working for us to have a better experience.I hate that you have to pause the game to skip scenes then select skip that is soooooo 1995.

so the reviews for the PS3 version do not take into account this patch..

Where Sega should have taken all this time to put in something so basic, Sony would need at least three months to get up to speed.

So basically Platinum Games and SEGA in this case could care less about there Sony customers. I'm mad that they gave of the short end of the stick like that and yet charged us the same price as the 360 version and sat on their ass and didn't even lift a finger to address those complaints. No game I have ever played on the PS3 from launch up till now had significant load times like this game during actual gameplay. Loading when pressing the pause button, select button, and picking up objects. WTF? Talk about fanboy developers.

Well glad to see to see whats been done is done. I don't mind installing games one bit even on my 60 gb HDD I just get rid of the game data of games I don't play. Like DMC 4.

It's about time sony got off their lazy azz and starting doing this.. they should have got involved with stuff like this not only with past games but during the development of a game coming to ps3, especially with devs who are working on the ps3 for the first or second time..

This thing was completely broken, load times where god awful and the cut scenes looked horrible most of the times. Shame it was really a great a game. just plagued by a poor port job. :(

That's Sony's way of saying "if you can't do it properly, we'll do it for you".

That said I'm a huge Bayonetta fan and I'm glad someone cares enough to make the experience great for both systems. There's really no excuse for a crap port on either console. If that patch somehow helps with the frame rate, then those that only own a PS3 should go outta their way to get this game. It's great. Props to Sony for picking up Sega/Platinum's slack. Let this be a lesson to Sega and Platinum, Sony cares more about your product than you do. Hang your head fella's, you blew it.

But they dont say, that Jasper models have a UNDER 4& failure rate, while their so great SLIM is at 15% right now:)!

What this shows is that Sony Computer Entertainment cares about the consumer and the quality of their product. With that being said, Bayonetta was already a superior and more than playable title on the PlayStation®3, but now with this update it has officially propelled past the Xbox 360 version. Microslaves are once again left in the past by playing an outdated version of a fantastic game.

If you want the true version of Bayonetta, the only system to experience this is on PlayStation®3.

I remember Kamiya's RE4 looked so much inferior on PS2. It was believed to be down to the PS2's weaker architecture, but I wonder if a large part of that was owing to Kamiya being incompetent at handling non-PC like architecture

This is not 2006, the PS3 install base is almost the same as the 360s, so there is no reason for a developer to not hire PS3 developers and develop the PS3 versions themselves. Shame on you valve and shame on you Platinum Games.

Platinum Games gets an extra shame on you from me because there particular style of game appeals more to PlayStation crowd than the Xbox crowd.

Either way, is good to know PS3 owners are in good hands with Sony and the PS brand. They do respect the costumer and set high quality standards for their products.

By droid logic, you have to invest 20-60 Million USD (sony 1st party studios) to make a good game for their crap hardware system.

Sony has said if a developer needs help on their games, they would help.

So I pretty much see it as that, and if the PSN is going to get any Dreamcast games, they are going to have to help Sega alittle to make the money to make it happen faster.

Goes to show that Sony cares about its consumers more so than Microsoft by the way has Star Ocean 4 being fixed yet or Call of Juarez being fixed yet. Yes Sony needs third party developers to survive like Nintendo for both the N64 and Gamecube they relied too much on first party developers which pretty much struggled and couldn't get to catch up to both Playstation and PS2 systems. Now this generation most of those Wii exclusives are made by third party game developers; altough, most of them are crap but Madworld, No More Heroes, The Conduit, Dead Space extraction, etc. are great third party exclusives for the wii.

It's embarrassing for Sony to have such disparity between load times on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game. I don't really think it matters who made the patch. Good for Sony for showing that they care about their consumers.

guys,I saw a patch comparison video and pics in gamefaqs.not only the loading time is fixed but the textures and colors look sharper and more detailed.
now here is the real surprise.there was a comparison for chapter 5 between the xbox360 and ps3 patched version and in the patched version the level loaded faster than the xbox360 version! but its unknown if this implies to the whole game or not! don't know if I should post this as news on n4g.

now there should not be a any heat between the 360 verison and ps3 version of bayonetta about load times and screen tearing. yet i am sure it will continue lol.

Its a nice fairy tale, but its not true.

I tried the game briefly, and if I'm right the game gains from 5 to 10 fps, but it's just a thing I noticed with naked eye, so I can't prove that with facts.
Still the game is muuuuuuuuch more enjoyable.

Patches...
Whether PS3 360 or PC I hate patches. They are a evil necessity to fix a flaw in a game. So instead of making fun of each others chosen console how about we all unite and make fun of the developer Platinum Games and the publisher Sega for releasing a product with flaws.

It's not like we pay a fraction of the retail price for these games and say "I'll send the rest of the money in a patch". We pay in full up front and we expect the quality to be there.

Some publishers and developers are half a$$ing it on quality.
So as gamers we need to unite and call out those who make crappy products so they will improve their standards and make better games.

Major embarrassment for such a company. SEGA developers should be ashamed for doing that kind of a lame job on PS3 (almost 4 years upon it's release).

If I would do that kind of crappy performance at my job, half of my work time (in this case the PS3 worktime) I would get fired instantly.

is a prime example that you dont need 3rd party support. The thing is they bundle game with they're system and add like $20.00 extra. That's where the numbers come from. But game systems are suppose to be long term investments. I have one game for the Wii and 12 games for my ps3. Who's really winning?

Sega has release (as far as I know) 2 PS3 exclusive games that run fine on the system. Valkirye Chronicles and Yakuza 3 with Yakuza 4 on the way. So Sega obviously have people who know how to program the PS3.Why couldn't they let them handle the port? Plus the creator of the Devil May Cry series. Devil May Cry 4 used the PS3 as the lead platform and the game ran fine so this dude also knows people that can work with the PS3 as well and yet when end up with a crappy port. What the deal? Developers can ask developers from other companies for advice. Look at Uncharted 2. Bungie the same people that make Halo is in the credits for Uncharted 2 since Naughty Dog ask them for advice. So whats Sega's and Platinum games' excuse?

Good now i might actually consider renting it.

Sony cares for all other multiplats and exclusive they took care of quality in gmaes and heard peoples statements. Good job sony unlike wii that makes nooby repeated seqeuls and ms that do timely exclusives and shooter only games.

The experience doesn't change with some flaws in performance now does it? I REALLY don't care how these multiplats perform as long as the differences aren't THAT big. Even in this case they AREN'T that big sorry if you think otherwise.

I much rather take the differences in some multiplat games and all the exclusive games on the PS3 over the x360.

I have 25 games right now and from that amount 13 games are exclusive to the PS3. There is no way in hell you people could possibly be that stupid to think Bayonetta is something that really bugs me. I mean COME ON!!
