hmmm, looks like A Crack in time didnt do too well. Did TOD reach a million?
Also i wonder what the numbers for R2 are.

Glad U2 is selling so well though, it deserves it!!

-MD-5954d ago

The sales are low imo, it deserves more.

LordMarius5954d ago (Edited 5954d ago )

they are low...

...but so is the definitive racer of this generation

LordMarius5954d ago (Edited 5954d ago )

Aclay5954d ago

Whitto, yes Tools of Destruction sold over a Million (Worldwide)... actually it cracked a Million in about 3 months after it came out: http://www.videogamesblogge...

-MD-5954d ago

6 Uncharted 2 haters? Get real the game was good.

Saaking5954d ago

It's good to see Demon's soul is selling better than expected. And ACiT definitely deserves more sales. It's a great game, but I had to put it aside for a while. Need to finish ME2 first.

"The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (Nintendo Gamecube) ~ 2.33 million
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Nintendo Wii) ~ 2.6 m
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 64) ~ 3.5 m"

Is this Truth? cuz TLoZ is Nintendo Best IP

UC2 900K?

Come On, This Game IS DAMN AWESOME!!!

Bnet3435954d ago (Edited 5954d ago )

Holy crap at the Wii sales. WTF.

-MD-5954d ago

Well there aren't 14 360 fans on this site total, so those disagrees must be coming from sony fanboys that will go against their own opinions just to disagree with me.

Which honestly is freakin hilarious.

vhero5954d ago

Infamous sold 500k this long after launch?? Now that is what you call keeping up. It says Forza 450k? So that's not Forza 2? I guess a lot of people picked up platinum/classics range after christmas to boot there collections.

Consoldtobots5954d ago

no I think it's more like seeing the devil in church when people see you praising a PS3 game.

SilentNegotiator5954d ago

Let's try to remember that making numbers up and claiming to have NPD numbers is a big way to get hits....

zeeshan5954d ago

For all I know, this could easily be fake! No point to argue over numbers that don't even matter!

Zackstorm5954d ago

TP also sold over a million on the Gamecube. Making its numbers actually higher than OoT.

ReservoirDog3165953d ago

I don't know if these are real or not but it's sad that people don't buy ratchet and clank much. Platformers are one of my favorite genres. But people just don't buy them much. And so far (about halfway in), this is arguably the best R&C. If anyone's on the fence on it while reading this, just buy it. Insomniac is one of the best developers around.

They say this might be the last R&C, which if you listen hard enough, you can probably hear my heart break as I write that. But if this is, I hope their next series they move onto gives them the success they so rightfully deserve. And unless it's a game about the life of a spider (arachnaphobic), I'll be first in line to buy it.

Seeing some of those figures is depressing, hopefully the European/Japanese numbers were better to boost a few sales here and there.

sashimi5954d ago

Valkyria Chronicles should be selling a lot more! what is wrong with people!

Unicron5954d ago

New IPs usually suffer, especially in fringe genres. It IS sad, and but one reason we have no Okami 2 =(

sikbeta5954d ago

If Sega make a Trophy Patch, we'll see much more salez...

Obama5954d ago

It did almost 2 times better than TOV on the 360, so the sales is pretty good considering it is a sjrpg.

Sevir045954d ago

looks like xbox games dont really clear a million in the States either. ^^

silvacrest5954d ago

the numbers are not great on all consoles except the wii and DS, no surprise to be honest except i thought the 360 would do better on home turf

"Be creative 99% of the time" – Glen Schofield on how creativity can help fix AAA industry woes

The Callisto Protocol director thinks the solution involves the right people, the right timing, and perhaps a little bit of AI

I don't agree with that. I WISH I could agree with that. But buying habits and customer opinions prove otherwise

We've seen developers in the AAA space try new things and ideas. More often than not, the customers aren't willing to give things a chance, or not enough people buy into the project for it to grow.

Creativity works better in the indie space because the budgets, pressures, and expectations aren't the same.

Scissorman29d ago

it's a nice idea and it worked during the PS2/PS3-era when AAA didn't cost hundreds of millions of dollars. smaller budgets and shorter development time left room for more creativity and more risk. a game didn't need to sell 4 million+ copies to break even. things are different now.

This is the guy who bragged about crunching his staff and having them work through the night. Crunch culture has lost more talent and done more damage to the industry than any other factor. Screw him.
