Release dates for Mario a given, even Nintendo can't keep that under wraps or pushed back forever. Talk avoiding big speculated Franchises is a given, as much as head Sony and Microsoft folks would like to throw a tiny bone to the masses about certain franchises, there is no way either risks alienating certain development teams with added pressure or promises.

Talk focusing on Halo 3, Mass Effect, Lair, ect... No duh.

Killzone 2 new footage: again duh. Lots of fanboy comments about the game both ways! Duh.

This was nothing new, and definitely belongs in the camp with other TV-Prognosticators, simply playing the odds and common sense.

I want to see someone go out on a ledge and say something like MGSIV, release date, real time game play footage and a playable demo. That would be a crazy prediction.

I do not own a PS3 but I really hope that Geurrilla (spelling?) games can make Killzone look that good AND have good gameplay mechanics because frankly killzone one had some good ideas (squad specialitys) but there were so many moments in the game where you were like "ok why can't I do that" (fly the dropship, drive the tanks)

Also Why no Masseffect? I'm looking forward to it more than Halo 3 and yet the media coverage is not half as good. That is the game PS3 owners should be wanting/ be jealous for.

2. Sony will announce more details about HOME such as User generated products and micro-transactions.

One thing he doesn’t mention is the always possibility of major new game announcements from the big three, including new IPS and sequels (that OVIOUSLY dont know of)

So this guy reckons FFXIII and MGS4 will definately come to xbox 360 someday? I'll never say never but the reason i've always thought MGS4 will not come to xbox 360 is because Kojima already wants a dual layer 50gb bluray disc for the game. Putting it on xbox 360 will be nothing short of ridiculous.

PS3's userbase will also have rocketed by 2008 when these games are released. There's bound to be a pricecut by then and loads and loads of great games are coming this year, so the install base will be high. Plus Konami and Square are pretty loyal to PlayStation. They've always kept the best titles for playstation. And if Xbox 360 gets Kingdom Hearts X, then i'd suggest that ps3 is definately keeping FFXIII

I think dude is off his Predictions will be the lame filler if true in the show exspect one of the greatest E3's ever with tons of surprizes that will change the industry.

the additional features the system's respective firmware updates may provide in the future, I love announcements like those. Home was a good start, so was IPTV, and I'm sure they're all not finished with these features just yet.

As far as games go, I would like to hear about Resistance 2, and of course more on Killzone. RPG's are a must though, as I'd like to know if the Tales series or Wild Arms is making the next-gen leap in the near future. A White Knight update would be nice too. I'd also like some sort of progress report(no matter how small) on GT5. Speaking of 5, what ever happened to Resident Evil?

The Getaway, 2 Days to Vegas, and Afrika need to make an appearance, as they all sort of fell of the radar.

Wii - honestly who cares - console sucks unless ur from japan

xbox - halo RTS would be cool to see - would be wicked if they follow the steps of starcraft - but thats about it..i dont see anything shocking from MS that we havent seen or already know about

sony - killzone2 will simply ruin anything at E3 - sony will also show us more things to do with home. a new PSP would be wicked - but even u xbots cant help the feeling that u want 2 see killzone2 in action

MGS4 and FF13 will wait till after the xmas season to see how the sales of the PS3 stand - if good they well remain exculsive - if not then u may see them come to the shAtbox360

Good Point, I forgot all about the controller and potential accessories.

This is something we haven't touched on enough. I'd like to see some first party accessories from Sony designed to work effectively with the PS3's various features. I love the fact that they offer consumers the choice of using nearly whatever they desire, but usually first party products do the trick better than any other.

I'd like to see Headsets, KB + Mouse, Media Remote, Faceplates, Charge-docks, Racing Wheels, etc. Nothing too crazy, but every little bit helps IMO.

Last but not least, I actually would like to see this new "next-gen" haptic technology that immersion won't quit shouting about. I'm not an advocate for rumble myself, but I do keep an open-mind, and if what they have to offer is more than the generic shakes of the past, I'll take a look at it.

- E3 will show off all the awesome stuff both consoles have to offer in the next year and people will still act like moronic fanboys.

E3 is gonna make me realize that im gonna have to get 2 full time jobs to support my gaming habbits because they are gonna have so many great games for all the systems. KH X is probably a Wii spin-off. It certainly won't be for 360, and ESPECIALLY not exclusive. The former is multiformat gaming, the latter (PS3/360 KH release - not happening) would be multiplatform gaming.

I do think Sony will steal the show. Killzone 2, PSP redesign and more info on PS3 titles easily dominates Wii (360 will shred Wii at the show too). PS3 price drop in September alongside the release of these new titles will be killer. Remember 360 is not yet profitable (waiting for 65nm later this year) and can't drop the price while Halo 3 is around unless they want to lose much much more (their goal is profitability by this year).

Dead Rising 2 for PS3/360 should show up, but Take Two will not put GTA on Wii, they can put crap on it and remain profitable, so why even try porting and changing the controls.

So sleep on it!

It's still hard for a developer to make money on the wii since people bought the wii as a party system so the attach rate is very low. That's why all you see on the wii is gimicky games and only nintendo is pushing their games

I just don't get why everyone thinks Killzone will murder all before it without seeing a scrap of evidence, or hearing a single word about it.

Just because the budgets huge doesnt make it a AAA title.

Killzone 2 deserves hype because the first title was a pretty good game and the 2nd is first party,with a massive staff with a massive budget,There's no reason to believe it won't rock.I'm sure e3 gameplay footage will confirm that.

just dont worry about the idiots that believe that the game wont look like the trailer, or near it, the poor children dont even realise what the cell is, and what it is capable of when 22 mil has been invested into it is capable of, they dont ask thereselves the question, why would sony and guerilla games invest 22 million into a game machine, this early in its lifecycle? And why would they invest 22 million into anything into something that couldnt make a movie, and cg? I have the answer, they dont realise what the cell is, and why the blue ray in the ps3, they dont realise that these two alone make cg easy and surpassable, dont even go to rsx added in, they judge the current games as something to add up what the ps3 is capable of, but they dont realise that the games currently out havent had near the time of development of killzone 2, and or the workforce, movie devlopers, that it takes to truely get some of the performance out of the ps3, and all games now have a budget 4 times lower and even lower than that, they just dont get those facts, they dont understand that motorstorm used only 10-15% of 2 of the cells 7 active processors, but there are 9 processors on cell, and the 10-15% was physics, dynamics, ai, frame rate, but the graphics were all done by rsx, with no edge tools, they dont realise that as good as the game looked, it wasnt on finalized hardware, but about 5 months, the game was rushed, and had a small budget, they dont realise that with the same budget that killzone has that motorstorm too couldve passed the original target render, if they had the time, but the ps3 can really make movies even faster than a normal supercomputer, thanks to cell and blue ray, rsx is only extra power.

So dont worry they dont understand these key things, but they will come e3, just come on over to playstation.com forums, these guys words will fade away on my kind of site, come give us a visit

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
