IGN: PC Gaming 2010 Preview

2010 has something to offer every PC gamer, from deep RPGs to frantic shooters to a number of exclusive strategy and MMO games. Some merely extend the enjoyment of last year's best games, like Empire Total War or Dragon Age: Origins. Others resurrect dormant franchises such as StarCraft or Aliens vs. Predator. And while there's no shortage of sequels this year, you also have the opportunity to see a few new games, most notably THQ's Metro 2033.

A lot of great games in this list and I'm looking forward to playing most of them.

Ok what gives, they didn't include Brink or Fallout: New Vegas, but they included the force unleashed 2?, um...no.

I haven't heard of Two Worlds though, I'll have to investigate...

DeadlyFire5977d ago

Also missing Witcher 2, Guild Wars 2, and many more.

Nihilism5977d ago

I hope The Witcher 2 comes this year but it's TBC so I won't get my hopes up too high

dirthurts5977d ago

I had forgotten about Rage. Looks good.

Faelan5977d ago

Did they just completely forget to mention Cataclysm (WoW expansion) or do I need to get my vision checked again?

Dev8 ing5977d ago

I hope they ain't bullsh1ting about release starcraft 2 this year. Metro 2033 looks intriguing. Anyone know if there is going to be a FF beta? I am not sure if I want to play it but if I do it will probably be for PC.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing40d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9240d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit40d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing40d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9240d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
