99Games, leading developer and publisher of iPhone and iPod touch games, has just announced the release of another building simulation game for iPhone and iPod Touch, the largest market nowadays. "Create A Mall", that's how the game is called, is an interesting new addition to the genre, and is a result of the partnership between Roiworld, a fashion and gaming web site acquired by Lifetime Networks in 2008, and Merscom, a global publisher of social media and computer games.

US consumer spending on video games reached $5.9 billion in December 2025, an increase of 3% year-over-year (YoY). This rise was partially fuelled by an increase in subscription services spend, which rose 24% from December 2024.
