What are you talking about? That's a ridiculous, silly and stupid statement. Review scores in general are great indicators of a game's quality.

The fact that you might disagree with certain scores doesn't alter the fact that a game which scores 9+ is very likely to be enjoyed by a majority of gamers interested in the respective genre.

Rather than ignore the scores, I'd recommend reading the reviews to find out what's behind the high or low scores, sometimes the things that impress or bother reviewers are not an issue for many gamers interested in a particular game (such as lack of originality, linear progress rather than open world etc).

As a general indicator however, review scores serve their purpose well, and are not only used by fanboys. That fanboys use them in "ohhh my game beats yours by 0.1 in metacritic"-arguments doesn't change that.

I agree with Sam, and partially agree with yours. The actual review, not the score "in general are great indicators of a game's quality" If there was no score, there is no ammunition for the cesspool of a generation of "gamers" to spread hate with. People don't read the review, they read the conclusion and look at the score and think they know more about the game than the people who played it/made it.

Score is meaningless especially since everyone doesn't use the same scale, thus making it uneven.

Anyways, that's just my 2 cents

also let me add, on topic. 5 reviews is indeed not worthy of a roundup, but c'mon, comparing to Uncharted 2? First off, the article isn't claiming that it's going to be the highest rated game on Metacritic and 2nd of all, the highest rated game this gen isn't Uncharted 2, it's GTAIV.........highest rated exclusive is SM:Galaxy

actually you gotta include PC score if you talking about GTA here as its multi platform. Just like Mass Effect 2 is. The PC got lower scores for 1 good reason it was released later and people realised just how not as great it really was. Don't use GTA as an example everybody knows that score is a complete fabrication. But if you really wanna go there take the average score of GTA IV and you get 95.5 over 3 systems.

Mass Effect 2 will drop people can compare this to Uncharted all they like but bioware are not stupid they sent the game to the 6 company's who gave them almost perfect scores for the first game. Company's they knew would give them stupidly high scores. Why?? Well that nice high rating will boost sales of course! Its called Marketing people!!! I am not slating the game it may be a 96/100 game but on 6 reviews this is obviously a marketing ploy.

Not trolling or anything but what reasons? The only positive thing I can think of for the 360 version over the PC version is LIVE. But then again, it's single player only, yeah?

I guess you could say buying the game instead of pirating it lol.

The only reason I would ever play on pc would be to pirate games.
