The latest pre-order charts are in and Mass Effect 2 is putting up some stunning numbers. With nearly 400,000 pre-orders and still 10 days to go before launch, week one sales should end up around the 750,000 mark - a huge improvement over the original game and the first blockbuster of 2010. MAG: Massive Action Game is also out the same week as Mass Effect 2 and despite setting the pre-order pace early on (mainly due to the MAG beta), I expect week one sales to come in at 300,000 - an impressive amount for a new IP on PS3! God of War III continues to look good for a week one of over 700,000 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 should comfortable outsell its predecessor.

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

The Wii is now a retro console. Let’s get nostalgic about an often maligned system.
Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.
My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.
Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.
Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
it may just be me but i think the mag beta was a smart move.
it made want it.
Seriously any game on xbox360 is gonna rape ps3 game when it comes down to SALES even ps3 fan boy's and girls know that.
Mass Effect 2 is going to be huuuuuge!
Its kind of sad how MAG will have a better opening week than the original Uncharted, Ratchet, Demon Souls...only because its an FPS! A generic one at that.
God of War 3 is looking like it will be a big game, Sony needs to start hyping up the game though. Its my most anticipated game.
Mass Effect 2 is looking to do much better than the first, and it deserves it! It will be a great game. Of course, the absurd amount of marketing EA is putting behind the game helps (seriously I cant watch any video on the internet with-out seeing ME2!).
White Knight and Heavy Rain arent looking that well, but I think its something we expected.
GT5 and Modnation are impressive being on this list despite having no date set though.
Edit: Wow, just saw Red Dead Redemption...really disappointing guys! That game looks phenomenal! The PS3 version is even listed, and the 360 version is doing pretty bad, too.
