1995 was a good year for video games with the release of the Sega Saturn and the Playstation 1. But it was an incredible year to be a PC gamer. Games like Warcraft and System Shock were released, monumental games that would shape the modern PC gaming world.

Nightdive’s remake masterfully preserves Citadel’s oppressive atmosphere and ingenious UI, yet the Switch 2 port lacks technical refinement.
"Nightdive Studios — renowned video game remaster developer and subsidiary of Atari® — proudly announced yesterday that its award-winning sci-fi horror action remake of the classic System Shock is now available on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2." - Nightdive Studios.
All I've ever wanted in life was Night Dive to remake Deus Ex. Unfortunately we get Aspyr.

1995, huh? I remember Warcraft! Before WoW.
Heck everything game related back in '95 was just cool even though I was young. Now for some out of this world question. If a time machine existed what gaming year would you go back to(could be consoles or pc time eras)?
I would go back to '87 to play The Legend Of Zelda again for the first time. Also I would like to go back to '96 & '97 for when Goldeneye first came out & FF7. Also '98 for Metal Gear Solid. And lastly '85 when the NES first came out to US. Heck I wasn't even born then lol.
I would go back to 1999 now that was a fun year, I'd get a Dreamcast again
1995 was good...
but 1998 was the best year ever for videogames. Check it.
Half-Life

Absolutely untouchable lineup of future classics. I still play many of these games on and off to this day. I doubt we will ever see a year full of so much awesome again. You'll note that only 3 of these games are sequels to existing franchises all the others are original recipe. Don't get me wrong, 2010 is gonna kick ass there is no way around it. But I doubt we will see so many future classics release this year.
I had forgotten about 1998, Half-life, Starcraft, Re2, and Thief were all amazing games. I remember pouring hours into Half-life
