CC: Earlier this month it was revealed that the developers at Codemasters would be exploring the PlayStation 3's motion controller with future titles. But what about the box 360's Project Natal?

Operation Flashpoint and Natal would be the real FPS simulator :)

thereapersson6012d ago

You can't have lag in a simulator... :(

mjolliffe6012d ago

Good point.

Dear Microsoft,

We don't want lag!

Thanks,

Hey, that LAG video was when Natal was more powerful... so it could have gotten worse. I said not to long ago Natal wouldn't work online because of the LAG of the controller + LAG of the online.

It's a shame because Xbox's biggest draw is it's online.

The "lag video" is a year old and we're still about a year off release. Does anybody honestly believe it'll launch with lag?

mjolliffe6012d ago

But who expected so many RROD's from the 360 since it was released in 2005?

Anything can happen from now until the release of it. It's just whether MS really do fix it permanently.

It's like RL.

"Sometimes I think 'Maybe I wanna join the army' I mean it's Basically like FPS except better graphics! But what happens if I get lag out there? I'm DEAD! I mean, I even heard there's no respawn points in RL!"
FPS Doug speaks wisdom.

Simulators don't, or shouldn't, have lag.

The point is, Microsoft lost what? A billion over hardware failures? They will not make that mistake again.

Obviously this isn't a new console but they aren't going to pour all their resources and half their first party into a product that doesn't work properly, it's going to work.

"The point is, Microsoft lost what? A billion over hardware failures? They will not make that mistake again"

This was no mistake, it was planned and executed .

@ The real killer ~ Yep. Those who do not know should look into the term "planned obsolescence" WiKi ~ http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

It's good developers such as Codies are looking into it, so we just dont get a load of crappy casual games to go with Natal and the 'Wand'.

mjolliffe6012d ago

Yep. Ubisoft said they'll have 12 games ready for Natal. Sure some will be hardcore, but some will also be small games that will act like tutorials for the system...

Blaster_Master6012d ago

Natal is gonna come shipped with a game like Wii Sports with like 8 mini games in it. It will probably be the best game on Natal until someone actually makes a game that truly innovates. It just so happens that Microsoft have never innovated anything. What makes you guys think that you are gonna see good software from anyone but third parties who are already doing 1:1 motion on the Wii. Natal is gonna be teh new cell. LOL!

-MD-6012d ago

Well for one my favorite developer has multiple games in the pipeline for Natal so that alone is reason enough for me to believe it'll have good software.

MaximusPrime6012d ago

Codemasters are actually best known for racing games.

How Natal going to be used with racing games? i dont know, but what i do know is that its going to be pointless.

EasySMX D05 review

You can get Hall effect controllers slightly cheaper, but you'd struggle to find as feature-rich a package without some heavy, heavy sales.
