well i guess this list is just showing all the confirmed exclusives, otherwise there are many more like some unamed, example: epic next gen project

the give off the scent of desperation. It's as if saying, don't worry, don't worry look we still have this this this. But much of the stuff is unreleased, unknown, work in progress, and titles that might be canceled or dropped or go multi. Instead of showing games that are up and coming (I know of like 4, and only 1 is impressive).

Little Big Planet?

Sly Cooper 4, God of War III, Jak and Daxter, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Resistance 2 aren't confirmed. Kingdom Hearts 3 may not even be on the PS3. Sucker Punch and SCE Santa Monica have said they're working on new IPs, which means Sly Cooper 4 and God of War 3 aren't happening anytime soon.

I own a PS3 - the only next gen system I own - but don't put some BS/non-confirmed titles and then claim it's a "real" exclusive list.

Also, you missed LA Noire, one of the last third-party exclusives.

metro is also for Xbox360, and then their is also Heavy rain though it's leap platform is Ps3 it's also one the 360... KH3 hasn't been confirmed and from what i know the 3rd KH3 game coming out is a multiplatform handheld game for psp and NDS. so thats wonk.. yeah ted price has already confirmed that Resistantce will have a sequel but but dont list it. and GOW 3 hasn't even started development yet. the ps3 has more exclusive than this... dont forget the 2 games that Ico team is working on..

It's still missing some exclusive, Little Big Planet for one is a BIG one to miss.

Heavy Rain's lead platform is PC .. they ported the techdemo to the PS3 for the show at sony's request. But it's still coming out possibly 1st on the PC .. later on 360/PS3.

8 days was a surprise,white knight story,socom:con,afrika, the agency,fokelore,etc.they'll just keep surprising us with games.

home was a surprise,pain,stardust hd,rub a dub for online downloads.if you don't know,now you know.

Impressive list. Those Afrika screens are pretty impressive as well, but what do you do in the game? I haven't heard much about it.

I'm a hardcore 360 fan..But when I see this exclusive list and the screens of all the upcoming games.....Man,I feel like just going up to the store and just pick up a Playstation 3...I need help guys,You think I should go ahead and get a PS3 NOW or wait??

why do people fill their pants with a steaming pile of crap every single time one of these stories is released?

i mean, wasn't it considered, by everyone on this site, that the previous story was a little, eh, "inaccurate," to say the least? it was chock full of "unnamed projects" and unconfirmed projects.

at least this list is a bit more reasonable, and logic dictates that there will be sequels to best-selling series like God of War, Resistance, and Motorstorm. especially with the news that Moto and Resistance have sold over 500,000 units *IN THE PAL REGIONS ALONE. i imagine the numbers are just as good here in the states also. they're practically million sellers right now. what million seller game has *NOT had a sequel?

as a PS3 owner, i *LOVE to see lists like this, as it gives me an idea of what i'll be playing in the future. or titles that i should maybe keep my eye on.

i'm a huge fan of rpgs, action adventure games, puzzle games, and the occassional, really good, FPS.

there are already 15-20 PS3 exclusives i have my eyes on, and this list just adds to that significantly.

this is indeed news for those that don't know what's coming out for the PS3, and would have otherwise not been interested in one because of the completely ridiculous misconception that the PS3 "has no games," or that "Sony doesn't care about games."

Metro 2033 is on PC as well, but its also true that a few might be
missing too like "Little Big Planet" and "FF-XIII".

Where is this title? Missing that title alone makes this list suspect.

For those that don't know-

Resistance 2 has been confirmed and will be titled Resistance 2: Rise of man, a third Resistance has also been confirmed but has not yet been named.

Motorstorm 2 has been confirmed and is currently in development, this game got started during Motorstorm 1 development because the devs wanted to do a lot more and simply didn't have the time. They also found a way to redo the game engine which is apparently heaps better than the Motorstorm 1 version. I'm guessing that meant they either met or surpassed the E305 trailer but didn't have time to implement it into Motorstorm 1, time constraints n all that.

There's also a heap of unknown titled games missing off the list.

This gen hasn't been the best for games, last gen consoles are still out there and now there's been talk of the PS6 and Xbox Two for a year or so. Many games this gen will be ported to next gen and the cycle will continue. The re-release of the Neo Geo AES+, games on cartridge for £70 ($95), gaming is going back in time. Gaming has gone pricing mad with the high cost of games, consoles and controllers. The men and women at the top are clueless.

It’s always interesting to hear behind-the-scenes stories like this, especially involving veterans like Shuhei Yoshida and leadership figures like Jim Ryan. That said, there are usually multiple sides to decisions at that level. It could be less about not “listening” and more about differences in long-term vision for PlayStation. Yoshida played a huge role in shaping the brand, so whatever the reason, his impact is undeniable.

If true, and I'm inclined to believe it is, it goes to show that Sony lost their way when they became more western/didn't respect the PlayStation origin story. Andrew House and Jack Tretton did great work, but they also didn't try to fundamentally change the PlayStation DNA. Ryan oversaw the death of Japan Studio and a live service direction.

I miss the first three generations of PlayStation. The way they turned PS3 around, we knew they meant business. We were all worried for a bit there around launch. Eventually from 2008 they started shifting slowly. But since Yoshida was fired, it's never been the same. Still enjoy my PS5 daily. I got a backlog dating back to PS2 lol So I'm fine but new games aren't as appealing anymore.

It seems like we were thrown on to the worst timeline possible where everything is too expensive and the wrong people were put in positions that makes the world a shitty place. We could have had Shu as the head of PS but we got the shitty alternative. Same goes for everyone in power around the world. Doesn’t matter the company or country the majority of us got the shitty picks and the world is declining like never before. I do think PS can come out of this because of their studios, talent and IP but they need someone more in touch with gamers leading things like Shu was. They’re still the best place for console gaming imo but it could be much better than it is especially without the massive live service failures. The rest of the world I have a lot less hope for right now. Hopefully the pendulum swings back towards the good ole days but I’m preparing for the worst.

So now there's certifiable proof that Ryan was in fact "fired", as opposed to when it was first announced that he "retired", in order to save face.

There's another guy who recently "retired" as CEO of another large gaming company, after doing a dismantling job as lead for well over a decade.

seems legit, the business man, fires the one who has ideas to move the business forward.

Jim Ryan is the reason why we are entering year 6 since the PS5 launch and many of us don't feel like the PS5 has gotten started as yet.

I hope going forward, we will see a return to form.
