I miss the old Nick. Especially Doug...I feel old now reminiscing and I'm only 20 :/

Solidus187-SCMilk5975d ago

ROCCO's MODERN LIFE and REN and STIMPY.

Lifendz5975d ago

Buddy, you should look at what Nickeloden used to be. Rocko, Ren n Stimpy, and even some episodes of the Rug Rats had some crazy themes and imagery. And even further back was Tom n Jerry. I can't believe that people get so up in arms about the animated violence of GTA which isn't supposed to be available to minors while you can watch an animated Cat hit an animated mouse with a hammer.

djfullshred5975d ago

Ren & Stimpy was never meant for kids by it's original creator. The corporate pinheads bought the rights from John Kricfalusi, and totally ruined that show, because they just didn't get it in the 1st place. Some things are a singular idea from one creative individual, and just don;t work as coroporate churn & burn crap.

FinalFantasyFanatic5975d ago

At the age of 21, I feel the same as you, I also miss the old CN.

I don't like the direction their going lately. I always did liked the Cartoon Network more though... Flapjack is hilarious, reminds me of old Nick...

Children's cartoons are terrible now, the 90s were untouchable. Nick had Rugrats, Aaaahh!! Real Monsters, Angry Beavers, Hey Arnold, Doug, Rocko's Modern Life, etc while Cartoon Network had Johnny Bravo, Ed Edd n Eddy, Dexter's Lab, etc. The only cartoons either Network has put out since the turn of the century that I have genuinely liked is Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Invader Zim and Chowder, both of which have been canceled. To a lesser degree I like Flapjack, early Fairly Oddparents and Billy and Mandy. Each network though seems to be switching over to more live action crap. Looks like they are finally killing off the last little bit of soul either has.

From the guys who brought us Ren and Stimpy, the Angry Beavers?

Someone from the moral majority's just now figuring it out?

Which is probably on par for them...

LeonSKennedy4Life5975d ago

There are only two good shows on Nick now.

iCarly and Spongebob.

I doubt you guys have ever watched iCarly, but it's actually a pretty solid show. Spencer (Jerry Trainor) is freaking hilarious!!! The writing's actually really good too. I highly recommend at least trying to get into it. : )

Dan Schnider can't keep Nickelodeon running by himself. That's just sad.

Cartoon Network at least has Chowder and Flapjack.

Bring back Pete & Pete, Rocko, The Angry Beavers, Arnold, Doug, Are You Afraid of the Dark, and Legends of the Hidden Temple. The rest can suck it!

Finalfantasykid5975d ago

Angry Beavers was a great show.

"Its the spleen!"

BaSeBaLlKiD7215975d ago

Hey Arnold! was good as well. I used to watch that all the time.

Finalfantasykid5975d ago

Ya Hey Arnold was one of my favorites way back when.

oli5975d ago

wut about invader zim?? that show was awesum!!

Solidus187-SCMilk5973d ago

last year I had a DVR and got nick GAS and it has all the old gameshows on it. We would get baked and watch legends of the hidden temple and GUTS. I always wanted a piece of the agro crag.

Go green monkeys.

My favorite show on nick was Rocco's M.L.

Angry beavers was great and so was Two Stupid Dogs on CN.
