Good strategy to sustain the hype.
Ill probably get it for the PC.. I wanna squeeze my new HD 5870 to its limits. What do you guys think? worth buying?

What sweet torture. This game is going to be fantastic.

Raf1k15998d ago

Definitely worth buying but I might have to hold back until later on when I don't have as much uni work to do.

"I wanna squeeze my new HD 5870 to its limits. What do you guys think? worth buying?"

If you are expecting Mass Effect 2 to "squeeze" your HD5870 then be prepared to be very disappointed. I was able to max Mass Effect out on my quad with GTX 260 at 1680 x 1050 well above 60fps and to be honest my PC didn't even let out a lil whimper. The game didn't even use more than 50% of a quadcores processing.

Now I am not saying Mass Effect 2 is a bad game, far from it. I am just saying this is not going to be a game that will bring PC hardware to it's knees, it only seems to have that affect on Xbox 360's.

BeaArthur5998d ago

I'm going to have to disagree with you there. She needs to grow some hair and get all those tats removed.

GameOn5998d ago

But that seems like the type of chick that would cut your d*ck off in your sleep. *shivers*

Shadow Man5998d ago

Ninji5998d ago

I won't play the inferior 360 version.

Antar205998d ago

I'll play the Superior version on my PC.

Chubear5998d ago

You'll have options cause, Mass Effect will likely be announced coming to the PS3 this year.. and oh how I shall bath in the tears.

Bro missing companions: Legion, Grunt, Samara/Morinth, Javik, EDI

anast552d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine552d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast552d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman552d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast552d ago

Liam lol I can't stand that dude.

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

DustMan800d ago

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave800d ago (Edited 800d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
