Anything before 4 was a must-have, and this is coming from someone who grew up with the mech games.

After 4, I lost all hope. I hope they bring this game back because AC3 was insane.

Though I'm hoping they take a few pages from Demon's Souls and give it some MMO elements. A world we can interact in.

I love my PS3 but this is one game i realy wish went away, after part 4 i was left in tears how horrible that went.

Needs help from sce japan its part of why demons souls is so brilliant.

Evidently im the minority. Ive always loved the AC series. I hope they go back to the old controls. AC4 was too arcady. I really hope this one is more like Nexus which IMHO was the best AC. Can't wait.

The AC series is among my favorite series ever.

AC 4 and For Answer killed it for me though. So I just like to pretend that they aren't actually real. It's easier that way.

I am probably one of the few people that actualy enjoyed AC4A. I have played trough Nexus and AC2 and a bit of nine breaker (probably worst in the series) and personaly I think what Armored core 4 did was good for the series.

Although Ac5 could try to bring back more of the simulation elements and tighten up the single player mode.

But my favorite of the series is the Armored core: for answer simply because of pretty interesting single player and co-op. It also fixed some flaws of the 4th game.

but I am pretty interested what from software can offer after Demon's Souls. Maybe they will approach the game from new angle now that they have their first Hit game under their belt.

Very exciting news. I'm a big fan of From Software and confident that they will listen to the fan feedback to provide us with a great title.

i thought AC was pretty sweet back on the psone. it actually has a really good formula as far as game mechanics go. i used to love upgrading my parts and gear, but the gameplay itself wasn't too engaging or in depth.

with that being said, ZOE is by far the best mech game series ever made. ZOE3 + AC gear upgrading and customization = perfect mech game.

If they go back to the old style of gameplay, or better yet give it the same pace as the old games and better gameplay, I will buy it. If it's anything like the last two I will be saddened because my favorite franchise of all time will be dead to me.

I'm not too fond of the looks of the mech design, it almost gives off a SRW vibe. although, going by the strangeness and complexity of the AC, it might have a more free form customization like Chromehounds, which would be sweet. Not terrible netcode, actual characters, and a decent story would also be nice.

Despite all those grievances, I still maintain hope because I know it can be done right.

From Software has made these Armored Core games for along time never really enjoying THAT much success or critical acclaim.

They make one action RPG that almost seems like an afterthought at it is one the highest rated RPG's of the generation.

Perhaps From Software should can Armored Core and stick to creating new RPGs with the same level of intensity as Demon's Souls (but not a sequal).

Been an Armored Core fan since day 1. I actually liked For Answer. My only complaints are the short mission lengths, overall game length, and the graphics could be a little better. I also think they should've kept the old controls. I don't have a problem with the arcady gameplay, but the controls just don't feel right with the style of gameplay.

Side note: Screw anyone that thinks this franchise should end.

3 games I forgot existed

Now I can finally play those games for FREE with improved graphics. Those were games I ignored back in those days. Over time, most of PS3 games will be totally free for me to download and play. I still have the PS3 fat, but I rather play the games for free at high res and higher frame rates. I could wait.
