that nice!!! Sooner than I anticipated!!....I am really psyched about this game even though theres a majority of gamers ( I wont say fanboys ) who do not like QTE poised in a game to this extent but I love story driven games and thats exactly what this game is about and theres nothing wrong in not liking QTE its just matter or choice :)

nix5970d ago

ok.. that gives me one month to finish Demon's Souls. q:

Microsoft Xbox 3605970d ago

Nice. Just a couple weeks away. Can't wait!

nix5970d ago

hello there, disagree fairy.

ReservoirDog3165970d ago

I'll maybe get this launch. I'm not sure. Looking at my games I've gotten in the past months, I don't think it's wise to get any games for awhile.

I have 8 games that I haven't finished. 8. That's just too much to justify a purchase. I might make an exception for this and SC C but that's it. I'm taking a break from buying games and just enjoying what I have.

It's gonna be hard though, when everyone's screaming of how good ME2, this, SC C and everything else that's coming out in the next few months.

chewmandinga5970d ago

ditto to Demon's Souls. Not Long now!

sikbeta5970d ago

Harry_Manback5970d ago

You'll want to finish it AGAIN.
Trust me :)

lovestruck065970d ago

only because me and my buddy rented alone in the dark inferno and it sucked the controls were so sluggish and the cool interactivesness ability withe objects and the environment blew. i think we might be shooter gamers tho lol. but it def looks like an amazing game. and demon souls yeah if ubeat it once its a waste i beat like five times havent played for a couple monthes but got my soul level to 251. games so addicting had to quit it cold turkey lol:p

marinelife95970d ago

I purposely stopped reading preview and watching videos of this game because I don't want a single spoiler to change what decision I will make while I'm playing the game. Can't wait.

Bobby Kotex5970d ago

Thanks for letting me not have to click on that 'article'

Silentmerc3nary5970d ago

It's February 23rd. That's the updated date on that article on that article.

solidt125970d ago

If could make a game it would be like this one but in a different type of setting. I can't wait for this game. Day 1.

BLuKhaos5970d ago

I've been watching the walkthrough for Farenheit on youtube all morning and I think I'm going to love Heavy Rain. Why do this, BFBC2, GOWIII, and FFXIII all have to come out during my spring semester?Oh well it's only four months.

Dark General5970d ago

Good lord. Heavy Rain and GoW3 within a few weeks of each other along with some Blu Ray releases I want to pick up 1 week before Heavy Rain. How am I supposed to afford all of this? Oh well happy gaming to whoever can play these games back to back. It's even worse if you have a 360 and Ps3, Q1 of 2010 really did get stuffed with some very interesting games.

LordMarius5970d ago

Im more interested in the release of its reviews then its official release date.

THE MAX SPEED 215970d ago

is there an embargo on this one?

MattyF5970d ago

There will likely be an embargo on it.

Aclay5970d ago

I'm pretty interested in what the reviews will look like too, but I think most of them will be pretty good.

Indigo Prophecy got pretty decent reviews with the PC version ending up with the highest MetaScore of 85, and since Heavy Rain gameplay wise is nearly the same as Indigo Prophecy, I'm expecting a similar reception for Heavy Rain, so I'm not really worried about how it'll do review wise.

bjornbear5970d ago

IF it is a good game (we don't KNOW YET!!! - we just know it has the potential) then it will still get killed by GenericTrailers Warfare 2 and other "very open minded" review sites...

but others, like 1UP, IGN, giantbomb, etc....might give it praise for what it is =D

Please stop comparing video games to movies

"Many video games catch not only great commercial attention but remarkable critical attention as well. We have seen games like Heavy Rain, The Last of Us Part II, and even entries in the Metal Gear series described as fantastic interactive experiences, even heralded in the same way as Hollywood's greatest films.

I would suggest that not only is this an unfair comparison but also a harmful one. Video games, by their very nature, are an intricately different medium and should be weighed against one another rather than another form of media," Phillip writes for GF365.

Yes, please stop. They're better than most hollywood drivel nowadays.

BLAKHOODe2006d ago

I think Hollywood films will becoming increasingly more like video games in the future, especially as the world embraces the "new normal" from the pandemic. It makes sense, as games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales showcase just how realistically we're reaching in graphical capabilities, as well as showcase extreme action sequences in spectacular ways. And as time goes by, it'll get easier and cheaper to produce such "art", as well as create new star "actors" that never age, never die, never complain, never gets involved in scandals, etc. Technology is amazing and we're only just getting a taste of what it'll eventually be.

sourOG2006d ago

No. Some games are like movies.

medman2005d ago (Edited 2005d ago )

No. For the money spent, a quality game provides far more entertainment value than a quality movie. Especially when looking at what is going on in the world, and how a studio can attempt to pilfer from consumers by charging 30 dollars for Mulan via streaming. Ridiculous. There is no comparison....games all day.
