When a developer says 'realistic World War 2' simulation he really means to say is 'the Germans speak German and the Americans speak American' (or something to that effect) 'oh and the Karbiner 98k is pin point accurate and gets one shot one kills everytime and you can't reload the M1 Garand until you've used up a clip', of course if you're really lucky they might add 'if a grenade explodes near you, you'll experience a disorienting effect, we have also implemented a cover system to provide maximum interaction with your environment'.
Is that true realism?

It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.

Mojang has partnered with Merlin Entertainments to build the world's first Minecraft theme park in the UK.

A three-episode live-action adaptation of the first two Yakuza video games will debut Tuesday, March 17 exclusively IGN. Each episode is about an hour long and will stream on IGN.com and IGN’s YouTube channel.
I'm all for realistic gore in video games. I think people should really understand what happens the human body when you get shot with a high-powered rifle, or a 20mm round, or a grenade.
It's much worse than a simple "hole-in-the-head". When people get shot in the head with a high-powered rifle, they basically don't have a head anymore.
Gears did a pretty good job. But the hardware is capable of more I bet. If anything I think it would help the standpoint of "violence in videogames". They won't have the arguement that in videogames people just have a puff of red blood then dissapear. If the violence was ultra-realistic, it would probably make murder seem that much more horrible.
One of my biggest problems with MOH and Call of Duty series is lack of gore and "Saving Private Ryan" realism and thats why Im leaning towards Brothers In Arms series.
As their point to the cover system (which is a good point), in FPS if you look to the side, all you see are your hands and the gun you're holding. When I look to the side in real life I see my shoulder and arm. If I turned the way they do in FPS you'd be stiff as a board. We've made great leaps and bounds in graphics, let's step up the use of it.
realistic, feel, true story awesome graphics, realistic weapons, real people, sad story, you have to play them, realistic blood, realistic grenades, everything is realistic, they show you pictures of what it was in 1944 and their remake looks the same, but in color, must buy
this game is above halo, killzone, heavanly sword, mass effect, for me
call of duty has fun multiplayer but it suffers in the campaign, BIA campaign is so realistic, @below if you like gore grenades blow limbs of and blood splatters ground
I saw that Brothers In Arms demonstration. Looked awesome. Definatley had the best graphics of any next-gen WW2 shooter I've seen. Didn't know that it had realistic gore though...
