I no longer want this game. The controls suck butt.

disagree if you want ... but me i kind of liked it .. ill wait till its very low on price tho .. it will get the same treatment as bionic commando most likely ... its only published by capcom not made by them.

So much opportunity wasted here. I was always skeptical but this game just seemed like a slew of Random ideas shot out of the developers ass and then Capcom picked through the pieces to publish the game. You see this 1930's post WWII guy milling around a warehouse kind of upset and he's looking for something and then this Mayan Indian dude comes up out of nowhere with no shirt on and then they find a Rocket.

What the hell just happened you ask? Yeah, me too. What's worse, they communicate through headset. It just doesn't read well. None of it. Toss in Robots and Aleins and it's just like a really bad si-fi movie you'd see at like 3 in the morning.

Then we have Nolan North doing his Drake here again. Why don't you try to change your voice up a bit, dude? I don't understand, it's like they land gigs and play themselves. What I really hated was on Infamous. That guy sounded just like David Hayter "solid snake" he tried his best to sound like snake and it took me out of the game.

Dark void also suffers from terrible controls. Why can't I aim with the right stick while flying in the air? You have to aim with the same, left stick, that you fly with. By the time you're done playing this game you're ready for your real life pilot license. It's excessive and frustrating. All of it.

The gunplay is stale, stiff and boring. The graphics, while not bad, don't really match a lot of games on the market right now. Not in quality. They're good and the animations are slick, but they have this generic quality to them.

All in all Dark Void was destine for failure. It's slipped release like 3 times now and I was actually just happy and shocked to see a demo for it. I know now not to buy it.

I booted up the demo and when it started i was playing Ace Combat. I'm confused.

Demo is terrible.

REALLY?! I was highly impressed. The game controls like Drake's Fortune, but when you press Y you switch to Rogue Squad. It seamlessly integrates the two control methods, as well as adding a vertical dimension (which we didn't get to play). If anything, I think the demo might not have showcased enough game-play. It was rather short. Still, more exited after the demo than before.

Still, single player campaign and no multiplayer = rent it.

The game had screamed "rental" to me in the first place, and was definitely not on the big list of Capcom games to buy (Super Street Fighter 4, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, possibly Lost Planet 2 and Dead Rising 2).

Still have to finish Bayonetta and Dragon Age Origins, and with Mass Effect 2 on the way, I'm sure I'll be fine.

Well, ive been watching this for a while now and wow, what a shocker!
I downloaded this demo and was shocked by how poor the graphics were and how boring and empty the game felt. It looks too much like a ps2 game for my liking. This was on my wish list, and now has gone onto my avoid list. Shame! Oh well at least i've for Battlefield bad company 2 pre ordered! Cant wait!

Wow, you guys are really harsh. I thought the demo was okay. My 3 yr old son absolutely loved it. I know I would too if I was that young. Remember guys dont judge games that have potential from their demos. Rent it and then give your opinion at least.

If you're a PS3 owner stick with UC2 whipes the floor with this game. If you're a 360 owner..well wait for LP2 or Splinter Cell, avoid this $hit. Looks like another Bionic Commando from Capcom.

Anyone know why they used to unreal engine, when their own looks so much better, Lost Planet 2 is in another league.

And I didn't think it was that bad. The on ground controls could use some work, but the inflight stuff was pretty fun.

Why does everyone think that the more time you spend making a game makes it better?

With the size of companies and all the people working on such a game, it's simply inexcusable.
Either they are a victim of insane circumstance or simply have no clue as how to make the game good.

I betcha the game designer got too caught up in the concept of the Bermuda triangle that he added too much and has been pulling his hair out trying to make it all "work" for the player.

The demo was horrendous.

Sloppy in every possible way.
Graphics were just annoying and as I said in my comment, were uninspired, and bland.

The textures are horrendous.

The music was too loud and intrusive and threw everything off.
I think they should of quieted the music so much so that only sounds of wind and the jetpack were heard. That would give the player depth,and sense of height and as well as a feeling ofintimacy with the jetpack, which is the starring role of the game.

the cut scenes looked like crap. I cannot believe a TEAM full of people worked on those. It reminded me (as I am an indie game programmer/designer) of some of the crap 8 year olds would put together and throw every which way on the internet.

and the "bloom" effect was so intense I thought that it was as if they splashed water on the lens of the camera (figuratively speaking) and tried rubbing it off with their fingers. I figure it's because the graphics were so dated that they needed to hide the low quality models and designs in some way.

Controls were annoying as hell. Flying felt like a choir, and fighting enemies while flying was just plain tedious. While running around on foot, the camera was WAY too close to the player and I couldn't see much at all of the rest of the screen. It's as if they thought Dead Space's camera wasn't close enough, so they decided to zoom twice as much so we could count the individual polygons on the jetpack.

what bugs me the most about the game though is that the concept is COOL. It's INTERESTING. Why make it more complicated than that? why have a cover system and the likes when all you want to do is fly around or run around and kill things?

Oddly enough, the interface reminds me alot of Too Human, which is rather ironic, considering the fact that this game's been in development for a hell of a long time and has nothing to show for it.

I don't want to bash this game, I really don't, but try harder for the love of god.

PS: I know graphics don't make a game, that's why I included bits about sound, UI, as well as controls.

Hard Corps Uprising is amazing. It's a Contra title developed by Arc System Works. So think extremely fun run and gun with gorgeous visuals/animations.

But the rest look extremely "meh". Not gonna lie, overall a weak lineup.

I just let my Gold subscription expire. I don’t play online and the games released these past few months are like those games you find at the Target clearance bin with the damaged boxes. Sony is giving away AAA games like Horizon, FF7, and 60FPS Ratchet and Clank and MS releases Truck Racing.

MS have just given up on GWG. PS+ is stomping it lately. But nobody is having that conversation, too busy letting you know Game Pass is better than PS Now.

This is insulting at this point. I know free games are free games but still. The optics do not look good when you look at what PS Plus is offering. They might as well retire Games With Gold. It would be less insulting than this shit.

Some of the damage control is real. GWG has been shit will likely keep being shit because of Game Pass. They don't have any exclusives to give because they want you to be on Game Pass. Sony is giving away Ratchet and Clank, Moss, Thumper, Horizon, Subnautica, Enter the Gungeon, and ABZU. All well-received games. Not to mention the PS plus collection which has previous GOTY contenders and winners like The Last Guardian, TLOU, Uncharted 4, Bloodborne, Detroit, Persona 5, RE7, MHW, and God of War.

Just get rid of GWG if you are gonna keep embarrassing yourself with these offers.

Can't remember the exact quote from Ralph in Simpsons but seems highly relevant here "stop, stop, it's already dead" they should just kill off GWG... for well over a year, the GWG offerings have been abysmally bad to the point where if I was an Xbox gamer who had no interest in game pass, I'd be offended and pissed off with such shoddy offerings especially when you look at PS Plus games.
