Times have changed. Once the most famous character on the planet, Mickey hasn't been the star of a successful movie, videogame or TV series for a long, long time. Instead, he's been subjected to starring in utterly anonymous straight-to-video features and giving his name to variety shows that have spawned far bigger stars - the likes of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. With the likes of Hannah Montana and The Jonas Brothers currently hogging the limelight at the House of Mouse, ol' Mickey has taken something of a back seat.
But no more, says Junction Point boss and legendary game developer Warren Spector. As you'll see over the next few pages, he's supremely confident that Epic Mickey will reverse the much-loved mouse's waning fortunes and make him a global superstar once more.

Mickey Mouse has been the star of some amazing retro Disney games, including Castle of Illusion.

I never played the first game but I enjoyed Epic Mickey 2 wish they were also porting the second game.
i liked the second one quite abit, but im glad they are remastering the first one

Despite Walt Disney's mixed history with video games, these games embody the magic of Disney the best.
When you think of Disney and video games, the first image that comes to your head could be a variety of things. Perhaps it's Kingdom Hearts, which remains one of the best Square Enix games due in little part to Disney’s influence.
Otherwise, it could be a classic game, since Disney has been mostly absent from the gaming world lately, save for some mobile ventures. Whether it be a nostalgic adventure with classic characters or a movie tie-in that makes an impression, let’s dust off Disney’s videogame legacy and find those quality standouts.
listen .. Donald Duck in Maui Mallard
and World of illusion are the best disney games.
I lost interest in this game..... I don't see anything "epic" about it's graphics. I mean... maybe it can turn out to have a great story.... but I want you to take a second and look back. Do you think any of the Disney films would have been as good if they all had tom and jerry graphics and frame rate?
Maybe that's just my opinion.
I probably won't buy this the day it comes out but will catch a deal on it if it turns out to be a good game (which I hope it does; Mickey needs more street cred).
Reinventing Mickey sounds awfully hard, you can really screw up the brand. The art for this game doesn't look that great and I don't really like the idea of Mickey being bad, I prefer the Kingdom Hearts version or the one from Fantasia.
here's hoping.
uh. this looks nothing like the early concept art.
