"Demand for Sony Corp.'s Playstation 3 held strong at Amazon.com this week in year-end sales movement at the retailer.
On Thurs., the PS3 120GB SKU held a 281 percent sales increase to rank at No. 22 in Amazon's Video Games division."

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

Why did Sony push Shuhei Yoshida out of his role leading PlayStation's first-party games? He'd overseen some huge successes. Well, apparently, he didn't listen.
Yeah I can see that for sure. Shuhei Yoshida should have been in charge not Jim Ryan.
More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.
Makes you wonder if MS even thought about hiring him after Phil and Sarah were leaving. He certainly couldn't make their situation any worse.
All the gamer/consumer lead heads are gone across PS and Xbox. shuhei gone phil's gone (questionable) but gone. The future of gaming is somewhat uncertain across the board.
Former Naughty Dog artist Gabriel Betancourt explains why the "sweet spot" for game teams is under 200 people and how AAA "factories" kill creativity.
There’s definitely some truth to this. When teams get too large, coordination starts to outweigh creativity—layers of approval, risk aversion, and tight deadlines can turn bold ideas into “safe” ones. Keeping a team under ~200 people sounds ideal for maintaining clear communication and a shared vision. That said, massive AAA projects also come with huge technical demands and expectations, so scaling up isn’t always avoidable. The real challenge is figuring out how to keep that small-team creativity alive inside big studio structures.

PS3 Supporters claim that they had this MONSTER 2009.
I think it was like being "Valedictorian at Night School" because Microsoft and Nintendo held back titles on purpose.
But I digress...
Scroll down the list and tell me how long it takes you to get to an exclusive PS3 title. Takes a while, huh? In the "Year of the PS3"?
Wow.
Your cloaked attempts at showing the public that people care about the PS3 is depressing.
NO ONE CARES ABOUT THE PS3 AS A GAMING MACHINE. IT'S A BLURAY PLAYER. POST GAME RANKINGS. THIS IS A "GAMING SITE". HOW MANY PEOPLE BUY THE HARDWARE IS OF ZERO IMPORTANCE. I'M STILL WAITING FOR PS3 FANS TO POST A STORY ON THE POSITIVE PERFORMANCE OF AN EXCLUSIVE TITLE. YOU'LL POST THAT RIGHT AFTER THIS ONE. RIGHT PS3 FANS? RIGHT? HELLO?
(crickets)
Sad.
The PS3 has buried the 360 in Japan and will do the same in Europe when GT launches. The only place left to conquer is NA, but even if Sony looses in NA, it destroyed the 360 world wide so it doesn't really matter.
PS3 is selling out everywhere...
Ah, STREWTH2009, like King Canute, emerging from his hole to hold up his hand and squeal "back, back I say" at the incoming tide of good news regarding the PS3.
I'm still waiting for him to remind me which 360 game without GEARS or HALO in it's title performed above his "flop" standards. Still waiting... Hello?
The only thing saving the xbox 360 is the year head start.
