doubt any market is too small as a xbla/psn titles . Especially when the game is already done , and with only the cost of adding an online code they already used with various titles , and upscale filters .

It just wasnt a priority compared to sf2 and mvc imo . And they probably didnt expect so many people wanting SF3 back so badly , especially when must of the people clamoring for it , didnt bother buying the game back in the day .

A huge part of SF3's current popularity comes from emulation and people who discovered the title through legendary and epic SF3 tournaments videos . There is definitively a market for it now .

IMO there isn't much demand for SF3. it may have grown a teensy weensy bit from the arrival of SF4, but not enough to appeal to the broader audience.

SSF2HDR had appeal because of the graphics overhaul and it had RE BALANCING. MvC2 had appeal because you couldn't find a copy for less than 100$ and it had a license even bigger than street fighter behind it, Marvel. SF3 has none of these things going for it. The masses would say, huh? they made a 3?

capcom said themselves that CvS2 would not profit enough for the work, so I wouldn't bet on SF3 re release.

wich is why i mentioned that most people asking for it only know the games because of a emulation and videos .

Only capcom would tell if it's worth it anyway . MY bet is still that they felt it wouldnt be worth it , hell they didnt bother with adding sf3 chracters to sf4 . However with the various remixes , and SF4 , and often in forms of complaints about SF4 ... suddenly out of the woods and thin air , SF3 fan appears .
Hence sf3 characters added to the next sf4 title , and sf3 being considered on digital stores .

CVS2 is different , it isnt worth it to capcom , because of the massive works it might require (sorry but 95 sprites mixing it with 2003 ones wont have much charm with many folks) , but most of all because it require snk games licences .

MVC2 too , but Marvel appeals to lots of folks . SNK only fighting fans , and not even all of them .

My other bet is that SF3 "hd upscale remix" will happens if SSF4 , featuring various sf3 characters among other things , sells well .

But only the dreamcast versions (and the same included in the xbox Street Fighter Anniversary Collection ) were worth playing .

And only the one included in the anniversary had online so , it's hardly as if overdone .

It had indeed at least 3 revisions , but most people didnt own a dreamcast ... nor a xbox

... thinking online play makes everything better.
