I already have Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Street Fighter II. They can release whatever they want and I will not care unless it is Marvel vs Capcom 3!

DrRobotnik5992d ago

MvC2 was already re-released and did well. I guess this and SNK vs Capcom is next to appear on PSN and XBL

Rock Bottom5992d ago (Edited 5992d ago )

third strike is my all time best fighting game, I would love to see a rerelease.

No love for Capcom vs. SNK 2? Damn it to hell, the most underrated fighting game ever. It should of been re-released over Marvel vs Capcom 2, but they had to please the cry babies. :P

not much from me . CvSNk 2 (and the first) are good for the roster and different options , but i'd always rather play a true kof or vanilla sf 2-3 or at most the alpha series . Especially when every kof till well XII , always had a gigenatic list of characters .

It was always one of the early attempt to blend 3d backgrounds and special effects with 2d sprites , and i can't say i ever liked the results . The backgrounds werent importants , but the fireballs and move sfx always threw me off .

Add also the fact that most sprites werent redrawn , but ripped straight from various games of various eras , making some characters like morrigan (sprite from 95...) really iffy when mixed with the others and the 3d .

I wont mention balance issues , since it's always there is every fighting franchise anyway , to various degrees .

It's still a good , great even game , but i had imo prettier and better available .

Anyway i doubt they could release the two games without some severe rehauling , and without new snk licenses negotiations .

Capcom vs SNK is part of the Alpha series ...

Baka-akaB5992d ago

No it isnt . It's another serie of spin off . It features characters in different versions and era anyway (hell in a very few cases various versions of a same character) , so it wouldnt be possible .

Bnet3435992d ago

What I meant to say is:

"The overall system is derivative of Street Fighter Alpha."

Rock Bottom5992d ago

i too would rather see cvs2 over mvc2, even though it had many issues, it was one of the best fighters ever made.

Baka-akaB5991d ago

from what i remember with the groove system choice C A P and S N and K, the alpha gameplay was only one or two of the 6 styles available .

But yeah i get your point

Not surprised here . It was less popular , except with the hardcore fans , so bound to be low on the SF ans SF crossover priority .

THe good/bad is that like MVC2 it will probably "only" be upscaled and with online and trophies .

But then again good , because SF3 is the absolute pinnacle of 2d animation in fighting games . Other may look more hd or better , but none are as detailled and as well animated .. so with upscale you still got a winner .

the animation in sf3s is amazing. i hope they have that bad boy running at 60fps this time around.
